The next morning, the Flower Arm Man gathered everyone in the second-floor canteen with his followers. Two doctors in white coats, wearing masks, drew blood from everyone one by one.
The blood drawing process went smoothly with everyone cooperating, and it was completed quickly.
"Doctor, when will we know the results?" Chen Tianlong asked as the two people in white coats were packing up to leave.
"The earliest is tonight, or tomorrow morning if it's later!" one of the people in white coats replied flatly, glancing at the Flower Arm Man standing nearby.
The Flower Arm Man then loudly announced to everyone, "We'll try to get these test results back as soon as possible. I will notify you if there are any problems with your results; if you're not notified, it means you're in good health, so don't worry. Everyone get back to work and don't be nervous!"
As everyone was leaving after breakfast, Chen Tianlong casually picked up half a box of toothpicks from the table.
Time passed amidst phone conversations, and soon it was evening. The Flower Arm Man, with a group of people and a list, went to each dormitory calling out names.
"Lin Manjiang, Chen Tianlong, Liu Peng, Wang Linhai, after blood tests, you have contracted an infectious disease and need to come to the infirmary with us for further confirmation." The Flower Arm Man quickly arrived at the door of Chen Tianlong's dormitory, shouting loudly.
"How could I have an infectious disease? Is there some mistake?" Lin Manjiang, the talkative one, muttered as he walked towards the door.
"Don't worry, it's just to double-check if there's any mistake!" The Flower Arm Man said, waving his hand. Five armed personnel with guns surrounded them and escorted them downstairs.
About ten minutes later, the four of them were led by five armed personnel to a two-story building.
"Isn't this the same building Liu Yunmo came to investigate that day? It really is their infirmary," Chen Tianlong mused to himself, secretly observing the surroundings.
The leader of the armed personnel registered at the guard post and then led them to a room on the second floor.
When the door opened, Chen Tianlong saw about a dozen people already in the room. These dozen or so people were those who had been summoned here for having supposed health issues. They were in the same group as Chen Tianlong and the others and he saw them in the canteen during meals, but they had never spoken.
Clang! The door was shut behind Chen Tianlong and the others as they entered!
Chen Tianlong knew that the people summoned were not there because of health problems, but because they met the requirements of the order. The next step, he figured, would be "kidney harvesting," not some further confirmation. With this thought, Chen Tianlong felt the toothpicks in his pocket.
After about twenty minutes, the door opened. A person in a white coat wearing a mask, holding a list, called Lin Manjiang and Chen Tianlong into the room Liu Yunmo had entered that day.
Once inside the room, the person in the white coat instructed them to lie down on separate operating tables, brought over two "oxygen masks," and told them to inhale some "oxygen" before the physical examination.
Chen Tianlong took the mask, put it over his face, and took a breath, quickly holding his breath. He realized it wasn't "oxygen" inside, but an anesthetic.
Just as Lin Manjiang was putting the mask over his face to breathe, Chen Tianlong flicked his finger, sending a burst of energy to a pressure point on Lin Manjiang's neck, causing him to instantly stop breathing and pass out.
A moment later, the person in the white coat began calling Chen Tianlong's and Lin Manjiang's names. Receiving no response, the person in the white coat said something in Chinese to the inner room, and two people in green surgical suits came out and pushed Chen Tianlong and Lin Manjiang into the inner room.
Inside the inner room, Chen Tianlong squinted and observed. Besides the two who had pushed them in, there were two rather tall individuals who appeared to be Westerners. The two Westerners glanced at Chen Tianlong and the others, then turned to get surgical equipment.
Seizing the opportunity, Chen Tianlong ripped off the mask and leaped from the bed. He struck the backs of the necks of the two Westerners with his palms, then flicked two toothpicks from behind, embedding them in the pressure points on the necks of the two people who had pushed them in. Both men clutched their necks, one collapsing onto the bed Chen Tianlong had been on, the other sliding down the wall to the floor, lifeless.
After flicking the toothpicks, Chen Tianlong supported the two Westerners, slowly laying them on the ground without making a sound. After placing the Westerners, Chen Tianlong quickly pressed the Xinmen acupoint on Lin Manjiang and rubbed his chest. "Hoo!" Lin Manjiang took a deep breath and opened his eyes.
"Shh!" Chen Tianlong hushed Lin Manjiang with one hand over his mouth and the other making a silencing gesture when he saw Lin Manjiang about to speak, then glanced at the door. Lin Manjiang seemed to understand Chen Tianlong's intention and nodded slightly.
"Don't speak, hurry up and change into their clothes and follow me!" Chen Tianlong whispered into Lin Manjiang's ear, then helped him up.
The two quickly changed clothes, put on masks, and Chen Tianlong opened the door and walked out. The person in the white coat who had given them the "oxygen" was lounging with his legs crossed, playing on his mobile phone. Seeing them emerge, he quickly stood up and started speaking in Chinese. Chen Tianlong didn't respond, but instead grabbed the person in the white coat by the neck. With a crack, the person in the white coat met his demise.
Chen Tianlong detested being deceived, and this person in the white coat had tricked him into inhaling anesthetic, so Chen Tianlong directly crushed his throat.
After the person in the white coat fell to the ground, Chen Tianlong stomped on his face, making the pale-faced Lin Manjiang behind him sweat. Chen Tianlong found the list on the white coat's desk, adjusted his posture, told Lin Manjiang not to follow, and then opened the door to the corridor.
The five men who had escorted Chen Tianlong and the others were gone. Only two guards with guns were leaning by the door railings, chatting leisurely.
Seeing Chen Tianlong emerge from the door wearing a white coat, the two guards immediately straightened up and started speaking in Chinese, asking what happened and why the surgery was so fast. They also seemed to be asking if the two who were taken in had died.
Chen Tianlong didn't respond, just nodded and gestured with the list in his hand.
One of the guards put down his gun, took out a key, and prepared to open the door for Chen Tianlong. Chen Tianlong moved swiftly, striking the necks of both guards with his palms. Before the guards could react, they went limp and collapsed to the ground.
Chen Tianlong grabbed one guard in each hand and dragged them into the infirmary. He instructed Lin Manjiang to take off the white coat, and the two of them together put on the guards' uniforms. Then, they swaggered out into the hallway.
Lin Manjiang, unaccustomed to such a situation, was still trembling uncontrollably.
After standing in the hallway for a while, Chen Tianlong estimated the time and led the slightly trembling Lin Manjiang downstairs. As they passed the guard post, Chen Tianlong casually struck the guard's sleep acupoint, and then swaggered towards the building where the boxes were stored.
