At that moment, Gu Yang let out a harsh, fierce breath.
A bizarre flash of red cut across his eyes.
"Crack!"
The woman, the old woman, and the crowd gathered to watch the spectacle stood dumbfounded.
In a flash, Gu Yang slapped the live-streaming phone right out of the woman's hand, sending it flying.
"Do you even know what medicine you just knocked away?"
Wang Qian looked at the muscles rippling across Gu Yang's upper body and stood trembling to the side.
The woman, however, sneered and crossed her arms.
"I don't care what medicine it is! You crashed into our car, and you're still acting like you're in the right?"
The old woman pointed a shaky finger straight at Gu Yang, wearing an arrogant expression as she barked:
"That's right! Let me tell you, I'm a major internet celebrity with over a hundred thousand followers. Young man, you better pay up honestly, and we'll let this matter drop."
At that moment, the man stepped out of the car as well, accompanied by a nine-year-old boy who came running down.
The man stood before Gu Yang, striking an immensely arrogant posture.
Meanwhile, the child ran up and delivered a direct kick straight to Gu Yang's shin.
"You shameless piece of trash for crashing into our car! You owe us compensation, pay up right now! If you don't pay, I'll beat you to death!"
Noticing Gu Yang's vicious glare fixed on him, the child actually pulled a face and taunted:
"Nyah, nyah, nyah~~~~!"
Gu Yang smiled. The corners of his mouth pulled back in a savage twist as he reached out and grabbed violently.
With a deafening "BOOM!!!"
Everyone was completely stunned!
They stared as the child struggled in agony right on top of the car's hood.
The metal hood had been smashed clean in, caving downward.
An eerie, heavy silence fell over the scene.
"Mommy! Mommy, it hurts!"
"Ahhh!!! You murdering bastard! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!"
The woman who had been live-streaming finally snapped back to her senses and lunged at Gu Yang like a madwoman.
Yet Gu Yang merely cracked his neck and broke into a ferocious grin.
As the couple charged at him, followed closely by that old woman Xu Jiuyue trailing behind, Gu Yang delivered a fierce, direct kick straight to the woman's chest.
Using the momentum, he instantly whipped his other foot up, planting it squarely across the man's face.
The moment his feet touched the ground, Gu Yang threw a heavy, brutal punch straight into the face of the charging Xu Jiuyue.
"Whoosh~~~~!"
The surrounding onlookers scrambled backward in panic, desperate to put distance between themselves and the violence.
There was blood!
Not only was there blood, but the old woman had all of her front teeth knocked clean out by Gu Yang's punch.
Wang Qian was shaking so badly she had to brace herself against the car hood just to stay upright.
Yet Gu Yang grinned fiercely once more, his expression high with adrenaline.
He locked eyes with the man who was just now struggling back to his feet, grabbed him by the hair, and smashed his face straight into the car windshield with a thunderous "BANG!!!"
"Family, my ass! Family?"
"Do you know what kind of medicine that was? Huh? That was the regret pill for your whole damn family!"
"Bang!"
"I've always remembered that if you accidentally hit someone, you're supposed to say you're sorry!"
"Bang!"
The man passed out cold, his face and head covered in blood.
Yet Gu Yang still kept a tight grip on his hair.
"Not, 'I'm going to kill you!'"
"Bang!"
By now, the old woman and the woman were clutching the child who had run over to them.
Paralyzed by sheer terror, their bodies went limp as they collapsed directly onto the ground.
A distinct smell of urine began to seep and trickle down from beneath them.
Only now, looking at Gu Yang's savage, unhinged, and bloodthirsty expression, did the full weight of dread finally catch up with them.
"I've always remembered that when a conflict breaks out, you're supposed to call the police!"
"Bang!"
The people around them completely panicked, hurriedly pulling out their phones to call the authorities.
"Instead of..."
"Bang!"
"...bringing knives to hack someone's entire family to death!"
Hearing the words coming from Gu Yang's mouth, everyone present shuddered violently, goosebumps breaking out across their skin.
"Ah~!--- Xiaoyang, stop hitting them! Stop, you're going to beat them to death!"
Wang Qian finally snapped out of her daze. Seeing the bloody, mangled state of the man in Gu Yang's grip, she screamed in panic and rushed over to pull Gu Yang back.
Gu Yang turned his head and looked at Wang Qian.
As if by magic, the surging adrenaline inside him rapidly receded.
He cast a detached glance at the man, who was now taking in far more air than he was expelling.
Then, incredibly, he reached out and used the blood-free portion of the man's own shirt to wipe the blood from his palms.
He glanced once more at the distant crowd, who were far too terrified to even meet his eyes.
"Did you call the police?"
The group of onlookers started in a panic, then hurriedly and fearfully nodded their heads.
Gu Yang reached out and patted Wang Qian on the shoulder: "Get back in the car. I can handle this. Lend me Xiaoxi's phone for a second."
Trembling all over, Wang Qian nodded numbly. She hurried back to the car, glanced at Wang Chenxi—who was still sleeping like a log—and retrieved the phone from Wang Chenxi's small handbag.
Taking the phone, Gu Yang dialed Gu Weiguo's number.
On the other end, Gu Weiguo sounded startled: "Did you kill someone?"
Gu Yang glanced down at the unconscious man.
"Not yet. He won't die."
"Oh, good. Hang tight."
With that, the line went dead.
Next, Gu Yang dialed another number.
He walked a short distance away from Wang Qian and the others to exchange a few words, then returned and handed the phone back to Wang Qian.
Wang Qian looked at Gu Yang with eyes full of anxiety: "Xiaoyang, you... what on earth happened to you just now?"
Gu Yang shook his head: "It's nothing. I used to have a bit of a condition, but it's fine now. It's just that whenever I get provoked, my head acts up a bit."
"Let's go, get in the car. You don't need to worry about this anymore!"
"What?" Wang Qian stared at Gu Yang, dumbfounded.
"Xiaoyang, don't worry, your auntie will pay whatever it takes! You absolutely cannot run away. Once you run, there'll be no explaining this!"
Gu Yang frowned: "Listen to me. Get in the car and let's go!"
Seeing Gu Yang frown, Wang Qian's heart skipped a heavy beat, terrified that he might... mutate again.
Yet she didn't dare just leave, either.
Right at that moment, the woman heard that Gu Yang was planning to leave and lunged forward frantically.
She grabbed onto Gu Yang's leg, wailing: "Murder! Someone's being murdered here! You aren't going anywhere—if you dare leave, you might as well beat me to death right along with them!"
Immediately following her, the old woman—blood still streaming from her nose—crawled forward and latched onto Gu Yang's other leg.
"You can't leave! You think you can just walk away after beating people half to death? Not a chance!"
Gu Yang looked down at his faded, washed-out jeans, now stained with mud from the two women's hands.
He raised his head, glared fiercely at Wang Qian, and let out a savage, low roar: "Get in the car!"
Terrified by Gu Yang's ferocious expression, Wang Qian almost collapsed to the ground in a heap.
Yet she didn't dare defy his words, and hurriedly scrambled in through the other side of the car, trembling all over.
With Wang Qian out of the way, Gu Yang lifted his foot and kicked both women off of him.
"You want to die, is that it? Huh? Then I'll grant your wish!"
"Bang!"
"Family, everyone, look at this! Someone's being beaten to death!"
"Bang!"
The woman passed out cold, her head covered in blood.
Then, Gu Yang turned his head to look at the terrified old woman.
"Family, do you want to die, or do you want to live?"
At that moment, the child scurried over to the old woman, shivering violently from fear.
The old woman shook her head frantically, kicking backward with her heels as she tried desperately to drag herself further away from Gu Yang.
Gu Yang clicked his tongue, turned around, opened the car door, got inside, slammed his foot on the gas, and roared away.
Not a single person in the surrounding crowd of onlookers dared to step forward and try to stop him.
It wasn't until Gu Yang's car had completely vanished from their sight that the crowd finally gathered the courage, trembling with fear, to step forward and check on the group.
Suddenly, a deep, rumbling roar echoed across the sky, causing everyone to look up in astonishment.
At Hailongwan Villas.
After Gu Yang drove the car down into the underground garage, the three of them got out.
Wang Chenxi looked with puzzlement at Wang Qian, who was leaning on her for support with a trembling body.
When they reached the stairwell, she noticed that Gu Yang hadn't followed them up.
Startled, she turned back and shouted:
"Gu Yang, let's go!"
