As is well known, crew boxed meals are usually divided into three tiers: special meals, high-end meals, and standard meals.
Special meals are prepared for core creators such as directors, lead actors, and producers, who hold dominant positions on the crew. High-end meals are mainly distributed to general lead actors, cinematographers, sound engineers, art directors, costume designers, makeup artists, as well as heads of department and foremen for props, grips, and other key positions. These meals usually contain more meat or main dishes. Standard meals are for the majority of crew field staff, such as ordinary stagehands and extras, and their standards and contents are relatively ordinary.
Everyone knows that crew boxed meals are lucrative, and there are some hidden relational chains involved—not necessarily that someone is the director's relative. Such benefits don't reach the director's relatives, but we won't go into that here.
