After leaving Fenglai Restaurant, Shen Yiru did not rush back to the General’s Manor. Instead, she took her few personal maids to the Capital City’s busiest street to go shopping. In the two years since she had married Li Wangzhou, she had always kept a low profile, doing her utmost to fulfill her duties as Madam Li—showing filial piety to her mother-in-law and serving her grandmother at home.
