When the primordial chaos was first split and heaven and earth were yet unformed, the breath of purity and turbidity intertwined and surged. Amidst this chaotic void, all things began to grow, gradually presenting a scene of blooming splendor and picturesque beauty. Spiritual qi drifted like hazy clouds among the mountains, rivers, and marshes, while lush green trees flourished, extending to the ends of heaven and earth. Across this boundless land, numerous mysterious races multiplied and thrived, each occupying their own domain.
Among them was the Human Race, revered as the descendants of Yan and Huang. Relying on their indomitable will and boundless wisdom, they carved out territories across the land, building city-states, multiplying, and passing down the fire of civilization. High above in the nine heavens resided the Divine Race, led by the Empress Qianyu. Wielding unfathomable divine power, they protected all living beings and maintained the order of heaven and earth. The Monster Race, with the Azure Dragon as their supreme lord, either hid deep within secluded mountains and valleys to cultivate in seclusion or manifested in human form to walk the mortal world, each possessing unique supernatural powers. Meanwhile, the Demon Race, headed by the ancient Demon Monarch Qingyan, harbored malicious intentions. Lurking in dark places, they coveted dominion over the world, plotting to overturn the cosmos and bring all things under their evil control.
In addition, several weaker races were scattered between heaven and earth, such as the Elves, who were kind-hearted, peace-loving, and lived in harmony with nature, and the Asura Race, who were bloodthirsty and belligerent. All sought survival and development within this realm. The supreme power to govern these races and rule over the destiny of the cosmos belonged to Pangu, the Chaos Great Emperor, whose might and virtue were like the heavens, striking awe into all races.
Consumed by wild ambitions, the Demon Race coveted and grew discontented with the authoritarian rule of the Chaos Great Emperor. Driven by dark desires, they defiantly broke free from the shackles of order. They secretly colluded with the Asura Race and the Monster Race faction led by the Azure Dragon, launching a heaven-shaking, earth-shattering war that brought devastation wherever they went.
They burned, killed, and looted, committing every conceivable crime, and their atrocities provoked universal outrage. For a time, beacon fires stretched endlessly and smoke filled the air. The entire earth trembled violently under the merciless ravages of war, resembling a battle-worn giant.
On a barren and desolate plain, the armies of the Human Race and the Demon Race stood in sharp opposition, tension hanging heavy in the air. The human warriors stood tall and straight, as steadfast as ancient pines and cypresses. Grasping razor-sharp weapons, unwavering and fearless lights in their eyes, they closed ranks to build an unbreakable defense line. Like an iron wall stretching before the Demon Race army, they swore to defend their home and dignity to the death.
The army of the Demon Race, on the other hand, exuded an eerie and sinister dark aura, resembling wicked ghosts crawled out from hell. Their banners snapped loudly in the fierce wind, their arrogant and swaggering movements seeming to flaunt their evil and brutality to the world, chilling the hearts of onlookers.
Suddenly, a shrill and lingering horn blast pierced the sky, and the battle officially began. Demon soldiers surged forward like a roaring black tide, overwhelming the human defense line. Their attacks were ferocious and brutal, every blow fatal, and each swing of their weapons carried endless murderous intent and evil power.
The human warriors showed no fear. Flames of anger burned in their eyes as they heroically met the mad challenge of the Demon Race. Amidst flashing blades and gleaming swords, blood splattered everywhere and battle cries shook the heavens.
As the leader of the Human Race, Yan Huang stepped forward, taking the lead. With a nimble posture and a dragon-like aura, he wielded a giant sword that resembled an artifact capable of cleaving heaven and earth. Every swing carried the mighty force of a mountain-toppling tremor, the whistling wind of his blade sweeping away demon soldiers like mere ants. His figure darted freely across the battlefield like a guiding star, instilling boundless courage and confidence in the human warriors and inspiring them to slay the enemy with valor.
Meanwhile, the Divine Race Empress Qianyu moved with lightness and grace, dancing gracefully through the air. Several gigantic Divine Dragons circled around her, launching attacks against the Demon Race with majestic dignity. Elegant and fluid like a dancing fairy, Empress Qianyu held a staff that flickered with mysterious and profound light—a radiance containing power capable of destroying heaven and earth.
Chanting incantations, she unleashed immensely powerful spells. In an instant, the winds and clouds shifted, lightning flashed, and flames soared into the sky like the arrival of doomsday. This surging magical power inflicted massive casualties and losses on the Demon Race, striking fear into their great army.
Demon Monarch Qingyan stood tall at the rear of the Demon Race army like a ruler of darkness. A glint of cunning and cruelty flickered in his eyes, as if plotting some sinister scheme. He waved his hands, wielding a staff inlaid with glowing magic crystals that released billowing waves of dark magical energy, attempting to breach the human defense line and bring death and destruction to the Human Race.
Across the battlefield, battle cries, cheers, and screams intertwined like a tragic, magnificent, and stirring symphony echoing between heaven and earth. Soldiers of both the Human Race and the Demon Race fought to the death for their beliefs and racial glory. Their warm blood gushed forth, staining the barren earth crimson like clusters of red spider lilies blooming at the edge of hell—tragically beautiful and stirring.
Just as both sides remained locked in a stalemate and the battle reached a deadlock, a gigantic vortex suddenly and inexplicably appeared in the sky. The vortex resembled a black hole leading to an endless abyss; the once bright and clear sky was instantly swallowed by darkness, and the entire battlefield fell into a deathly silence, save for the whistling wind.
Everyone instinctively halted their combat and raised their heads to look at the terrifying vortex in the sky. Within the vortex flashed a dazzling, brilliant light. A colossal sword radiating sacred golden light plunged downward like a deity descending from the heavens, rushing toward them with a momentum capable of destroying heaven and earth!
Upon seeing this, Empress Qianyu felt a sudden surge of enlightenment: "So the Chaos Great Emperor Pangu has sensed the rampant spread of evil power in this world and the disruption of the original balance, and has thus manifested this sword to stop this disaster." Having attained this realization, Empress Qianyu acted decisively. Borrowing the power of the sword bestowed by Pangu, she spun her slender body and darted like a streak of lightning straight toward Demon Monarch Qingyan. That strike resembled a rainbow piercing the sun, brimming with boundless righteous power.
The light of justice shone like a brilliant star, banishing the surrounding darkness and gloom. At this moment, Demon Monarch Qingyan possessed no power to resist; like a rabid dog stripped of its spine, he could only retreat step by step in panicked flight.
With eyes blazing like torches and seizing the exact moment, Empress Qianyu thrust the longsword in her hand straight forward, piercing the Demon Monarch's body with absolute precision. The Demon Monarch instantly felt as though his body had been hollowed out; the dark, evil power within him was being forcefully pulled away and dissipated bit by bit, just like mist driven away by sunlight.
At last, exhausted and drained, the Demon Monarch fell to his knees. Staring coldly at the vortex in the sky and casting a final, hatred-filled glare at Empress Qianyu, he roared toward the heavens, "You and I are both ancient beings born from this primordial chaos. Though you can injure me today, you cannot kill me! Ten thousand years from now, I will surely be reborn. When that day comes, I will exact vengeance for today's sword strike, and as for you humans, you shall all bow at my feet and become my slaves!" With those words, the Demon Monarch's body transformed into a faint speck of light that vanished in an instant, disappearing into the vast and boundless starry sky, leaving behind only endless threats and curses. Seeing their monarch defeated, the other races and factions fled in disarray.
Hearing the Demon Monarch's parting threats, Empress Qianyu knitted her brows tightly. She knew all too well that his words were not empty and that he would not easily give up. Gazing in the direction where the Demon Monarch had vanished, she let out a helpless sigh, her expression tinged with sorrow and loneliness. She understood in her heart that when the Demon Monarch awakened once more, these myriads of living beings would face yet another catastrophic calamity.
Withdrawing her gaze, Empress Qianyu shifted her form and flew toward Yan Huang of the Human Race. With a solemn expression, she instructed, "Now that the Demon Monarch has been temporarily destroyed, the Human Race can recuperate and plan for a great revival spanning generations. Yet, ten thousand years hence, the Demon Monarch will surely return, and you must make thorough preparations in advance. This sword in my hand holds a sliver of the Chaos Great Emperor's divine soul. Today, I leave it with the Human Race. When the fated individual appears, they can inherit the Chaos Power, and perhaps at that time, they will be able to reverse the tides of heaven and earth and rescue this realm from dire peril."
With a respectful expression, Emperor Yan cupped his hands in farewell. Empress Qianyu flicked her sleeve and departed like a fairy skimming over waves, vanishing into the edge of the horizon and leaving behind only a faint silhouette for people to gaze upon in longing memory.
Time flowed like a white horse leaping past a crevice, passing swiftly as eras changed and seas turned into mulberry fields. After countless lingering years, under the gentle touch of time, this vast earth gradually recovered its former vitality and prosperity. In the towns, carriage wheels rolled and people wove together like a bustling tapestry; in the fields, rice and wheat gave off a fragrant aroma in a scene of bountiful harvest; within the mountain forests, birds sang, flowers bloomed, and all things lived in harmonious coexistence. Yet, no one could have anticipated that beneath this seemingly tranquil facade, the story was only just beginning...
In a mysterious and secluded corner, an unfathomable power was quietly awakening. Like an ancient beast that had slumbered for ten thousand years, that power slowly opened its eyes—filled with the unknown and deep mystery, it chilled the hearts of all who sensed it.
What on earth could it be? Was it the prelude to Demon Monarch Qingyan's vengeful return, or the key to saving the world from the brink of peril?
