Suddenly, a sharp screech pierced the air from within the cave, echoing hauntingly and sending chills down their spines.
Qian Yuxi grabbed Feng Wenjun's arm tightly, her body trembling involuntarily. Feng Wenjun comforted her, saying, "Don't be afraid, I'm here." He tightened his grip on his long sword and carefully stepped forward.
As they reached a bend in the cave, a black figure lunged at them fiercely. Reacting instantly, Feng Wenjun shouted, "Watch out!" Wielding his long sword, spiritual qi enveloped the blade, slicing through the air to leave several trails of sword light that formed an airtight defense, blocking the bat's attack. "This is a 1st-tier demonic beast, a Crimson-Winged Bat, with strength equivalent to the Foundation Establishment 3rd Layer. Watch out for its wings!" Qian Yuxi warned nervously.
