Chapter 287

766 words4 minutes read

Yesterday, I published the final chapter of this story. How should I describe my mood? A bit lost, which is why I didn't write anything else after posting. Xiaoyao and Xiangliu's story has now come to a close for me. I won't be starting a second one anytime soon; my creative tank is completely burned dry, and I need time to recover. I started writing this story in June 2024, and yesterday I published the final chapter, spanning a full ten months. As a complete beginner's debut work, I honestly never expected to write over six hundred thousand words, nor did I ever think about publishing it to share with everyone. I purely wrote it to heal my own lingering regrets, just jotting things down for fun. To my complete surprise, I ended up getting hooked on writing it. Even more unexpectedly, I had the pleasure of meeting all of you—stranger friends who accompanied me along this journey, walking with Xiaoyao and Xiangliu through a different kind of story. It is all fate, and I thank you for your companionship every step of the way. It was your support and encouragement that kept me from abandoning the work halfway and pushed me to persevere until the very end.
