Time ticked away. Alan stood outside the forest with his arms crossed, glancing into the depths of the woods every now and then with a slight frown, a vague sense of unease stirring in his chest. Tremendous noises echoed from the forest at intervals, as if reminding him that his decision today might have been a bit rash.
"Boom!"
A loud crash erupted from deep within the woods, followed by billows of thick smoke—clearly another one of Natsu's attacks. Before long, several iron spears suddenly thrust out from the edge of the forest straight up into the sky before quickly retracting. Next, a patch of trees was suddenly encased in a thick layer of ice, frigid air spilling outward so strongly that even Alan, standing outside the forest, could feel the chill drifting past.
