Su Rong was afraid Gao Jing would find it difficult, so she said, "Brother, don't talk nonsense. It's already a blessing for me to have Mr. Gao teach me a few tricks; I can't be too greedy."
Gao Jing, however, said, "If you really want to learn, it wouldn't hurt. I have three disciples, and all of them have achieved some success by now, but unfortunately none of them truly grasped the essence of gambling techniques. Perhaps you have the aptitude for it."
All three of his disciples had learned well, but his own son had little interest in the trade, and as it happened, Gao Jing did not want his son to inherit his mantle.
