Three days ago, someone among the beggars picked up a child from the City God Temple. The child had been stripped completely of his outer garments, not even leaving him a pair of shoes. He was covered in filth, and when found, he was breathing much more than he was taking in. A few old beggars pitied him, fearing that if he were left outside in the winter, he would freeze to death if he didn't starve to death, so they brought him back to where they stayed—which was, in truth, merely a dilapidated shack that barely kept out the wind and rain.
