Cheng Dazhuang pulled Cheng Nuo away from the man and dragged her into the courtyard. He scratched his head and paced back and forth, leaving Cheng Nuo utterly bewildered.
He seemed to struggle with his words, his face filled with conflict. When he looked at Cheng Nuo, his gaze held a mixture of "why can't you be smarter" and an emotion she couldn't quite place.
