Noodles are simple to cook. First, a bowl was scooped out for each person according to their headcount, with a spoonful of lard placed at the bottom of the bowl beforehand, then boiling broth poured over it, and finally sprinkled with a little chopped scallion and minced garlic. Next, more water was added to the large pot to prepare the second batch. With many men in the family, a single bowl of noodles could not satisfy their appetites. The noodles were served at the table. The lard and seasonings had already melted into the bowls, emitting an enticing aroma.
