Chapter 3

The shopkeeper froze in an instant.
She was taken aback, and even the owner of the supermarket next door froze along with them. The seed merchant leaned in and whispered, "Miss, are you about to time-travel? How about taking me with you? I have all the supply sources for these goods; no need for you to run all over the place. Once we cross over, we'll go fifty-fifty on everything."
The neighboring shopkeeper, watching the young seed merchant’s excitement, immediately took on the posture of a bystander waiting for the drama to unfold. He practically strained his ears, not wanting to miss a single word.
Halfway through, he was stunned. What? Time-travel? They were going to time-travel? Take him along! He was from the countryside; he knew how to farm and was incredible at threshing grain.
Si Jiuyue let out an awkward laugh. "Big brother, I think you’re overthinking this. How could such a thing as time-travel exist in this world? Look, you’ve been listening to too many novels; you’ve lost your mind. I’m a student from the nearby agricultural college. I’m buying these for research."
"Oh..." The shopkeeper replied, clearly disappointed. His hope of traveling through time and striking it rich had evaporated. His mother was gravely ill, and the money he needed was nowhere to be found. Just thinking about it gave him a headache. Even if he couldn't travel through time, it would be fine if this girl bought his goods and he could make a profit.
He paused, sighed heavily, and pulled out his calculator. After punching the keys vigorously, he gave Si Jiuyue a discounted price. She didn't say much and asked him to pack it up. He filled an entire fertilizer sack for her.
Si Jiuyue lugged the sack to a deserted corner and quickly tossed it into her Dimension. Then, she continued to roam the market.
Ten minutes passed. The seed merchant still couldn't let it go. He went and bought a high-value scratch-off ticket, the top prize being one million yuan. With a solemn expression, he paid for it and began scratching in front of the lucky cat statue at the lottery shop.
"Heaven protect me, let me win!"
The moment he scratched it off, he let out a loud "Wow!" He kept scratching. "Wow!"
"Boss, look! Did I win?" he shouted excitedly.
The lottery shop owner came over to check, and he too became excited. "You’re really something! This is one million! You actually scratched the top prize. Incredible! Go to the welfare center to register and claim your prize. Remember to bring your ID and bank card."
The seed merchant was so happy he nearly fainted. He rushed home to get his ID to claim the prize, while simultaneously sending a message to his best friend in the vegetable market, telling him to keep an eye out for a girl in a blue denim skirt who looked like a college student. That girl might be the God of Wealth descended to earth—whoever she bought from would surely get rich.
His friend received the message and found it bizarre. *Impossible, right? Is he crazy?*
Just as he put his phone down, the girl in the blue denim skirt appeared right before him.
Si Jiuyue didn't think much of it. She just wanted to hoard as many supplies as possible. She hadn't walked far when a young man behind her called out, "Miss, are you looking to buy something? Everything here is thirty percent off! Come and buy! Hurry, don't miss out!"
She turned around and saw the man shouting at her with great enthusiasm. Si Jiuyue didn't overthink it; thirty percent off was a great deal and would save her quite a bit of money.
She went inside and saw that there was plenty of stock. She scanned the shelves and said, "How much toilet paper, sanitary pads, and wet wipes do you have? I want it all. And these solar-powered flashlights, calculators, dried noodles, instant noodles, compressed biscuits, sugar, saccharin, and condensed milk—I want it all. Take as much as you have!"
Hearing this, the shopkeeper was so happy he nearly jumped. *She really is the God of Wealth!* He tapped away on his calculator while telling his wife to hurry and get the goods.
Next, Si Jiuyue had him pack up all the rice, grain, oil, and various toiletries, along with all the snacks in the store. The shopkeeper nodded incessantly, grinning from ear to ear. She pointed out a vacant lot in the agricultural market for him to deliver the goods to. The shopkeeper didn't know why she wanted it done this way, but money talks. He and his wife made over a dozen trips to move everything out.
Looking back, the supermarket was practically empty. The shopkeeper was delirious with joy and started dancing with his wife.
Si Jiuyue opened her Dimension and began the grueling task of moving the items inside. That was the one downside of the Dimension; she had to move everything herself. It took her a full half-hour to clear the supermarket. Her hands were cramping.
Once finished, she immediately hailed a taxi home. She entered the Dimension and labored to place the durians onto the tray inside the Invisibility Cloak, one by one. One, two, three... until she was so exhausted she couldn't lift her arms. The Invisibility Cloak finally began to emit a faint glow.
She heaved a long sigh of relief and took off the cloak. Once she had it off, she was so tired she couldn't stand straight. Her eyes felt as though they were glued shut; no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't keep them open, and she soon drifted off to sleep.
...
In the Prime Minister's Mansion, Xia Yunfei looked at the corpses on the ground without a hint of pity. With a wave of his hand, the guards dragged the bodies away. He walked over and gripped Si Jiuyue’s chin tightly.
"You wretch, did you really think you could refuse me?"
"Your nephew will die, and your father, your grandmother, and your sister-in-law will all face the same fate!"
"Xia Yunfei, you're dreaming. Even if I die, I will never submit to you."
"Good, very good!" He glared at her, determined to teach her a lesson. "Men, strip her bare. She’s yours to enjoy."
He let out a sinister laugh. The guards, not having expected such a windfall, leered as they stepped forward to seize the eldest daughter of the Si family. "Beauty, don't resist. We'll take good care of you."
With that, seven or eight guards carried her to the side room.
The modern-day Si Jiuyue was furious and kicked repeatedly at these foul men, but her body was like a void—she couldn't touch them at all. She was so frustrated she began to cry. The Si family was truly in a miserable state!
Terrified, she looked at the guards and pleaded, "No... don't come any closer! Help... Father, save me... help!"
Suddenly, her cries reached the outside. The Si family rushed out. Prime Minister Si, filled with rage, began to curse Xia Yunfei: "You scoundrel! What have you done to my daughter?"
"Xia Yunfei, you treacherous dog, betraying the emperor and bullying the weak—you will meet a terrible end!"
Xia Yunfei looked at the Prime Minister with smug satisfaction and laughed loudly. "Prime Minister, do you think you’re still the high and mighty official you once were? You’re wrong. Today, if I say you die, you die. If I let you live, you live. As for your daughter, I know she’s not yet married; I’m just letting her enjoy the pleasures of being a woman ahead of time. You should be thanking me."
Si Boyan’s veins bulged, his eyes turning bloodshot. He couldn't bear to see his precious daughter suffering such torment. Even if it cost him his life, he had to save her.
He lunged forward at Xia Yunfei. "I... I’ll kill you!"
