To call them mere Dark Beings would be an understatement. They could be classified as Ultimate Dark Beings, their strength comparable to that of an Era Overlord. Beyond these Overlord-level entities existed countless smaller Dark Beings—the Dark Army—whose strength rivaled that of the Ancestor Gods or those beneath them. Their numbers were so vast they equaled the total population of all living things within the entire Peak of the Vastness.
One could understand this through the nature of light and shadow: where there is light, shadow is born. The more light there is, the more shadow follows; the stronger the light, the stronger the shadow. The Dark Beings of the Dark Sea were, in essence, the projections of every living soul in the Vastness. For every new practitioner born in the Vastness, a corresponding Dark Being was conceived in the Dark Sea.
