The current state of the world is divided into three major powers. The first is the Ancient King City located on the fringes of the Central Domain, also known as the Demon Sect. The second is the various Human Clan factions residing within the Central Domain, led by the Qingyun Sect. The third consists of ancient forces that are about to awaken across the lands as the Golden Age descends.
If Xiao Junmo were merely at the Saint Lord Realm, the Human Clan would count for little and could only wait to be carved up. But now that she has become a Saint Monarch, things are different. As a Saint Monarch, she can crush tens of thousands of Saint Lord Realm cultivators single-handedly, ensuring that the Human Clan remains in an invincible position. Even if the Demon Sect’s ancestor were to break through to the Saint Monarch level, or if an ancient power were to see a Saint Monarch awaken, they would at best reach a stalemate with the Human Clan. It is a delicate balance.
Unless, of course, a Peak Semi-God powerhouse were to emerge directly from the Demon Sect or the ancient forces. However, breaking through directly from the Saint Lord Realm to the Semi-God Realm is as difficult as ascending to heaven. Only true prodigies can achieve it. Most others fail the breakthrough and only attain the Saint Monarch realm after long accumulation. If a Saint Monarch fails to obtain the fortunes of heaven and earth, they have no chance of ever reaching the Semi-God Realm in their lifetime.
