After leaving the awards ceremony, Lin Yu felt as though his mind were tangled in a mess of knotted threads. He knew deeply that his feelings for Su Yao, Zhou Yue, and Jiang Ya had reached a point where he needed to sort them out seriously. Each of these three girls held a unique place in his life, and he did not want his indecision to bring them any further hurt.
Night had draped its veil over the city. Lin Yu walked the streets alone, the neon lights flashing and reflecting the exhaustion and inner conflict written all over his face. He first dialed Su Yao's number. Her gentle voice came through from the other end: "Lin Yu, is that you?" That simple greeting alone warmed Lin Yu's heart while simultaneously filling him with a heavy sense of guilt. "Su Yao, let's meet up. There are some things I want to tell you," Lin Yu said, his voice slightly hoarse and heavy. Su Yao hesitated for a moment before saying softly, "All right, I'll wait for you at our usual dessert shop."
When Lin Yu arrived at the dessert shop, Su Yao was already sitting by the window. She wore a light blue dress with her hair tied back casually, still possessing that fresh and lovely appearance of his memories. Seeing Lin Yu walk in, a flash of pleasant surprise crossed Su Yao's eyes, though it was quickly replaced by a hint of nervousness. Lin Yu walked over and sat across from her, suddenly at a loss for how to begin.
