Chapter 14

Facing the disciples who had come to make trouble for him, Chuxuan showed not the slightest bit of fear. First, he won Zhang Yuqing over completely, and then he took on the remaining five disciples single-handedly, making them submit entirely.
Earlier, Chuxuan had used the hand-to-hand combat skills he had cultivated during this period to deal with the five disciples, eventually knocking all of them down. However, seeing the deeply unconvinced looks on their faces, Chuxuan knew they still hadn't truly accepted him. That being the case, he had no choice but to make a move once more, giving them a proper lesson so they would learn what it meant to respect their elders.
This time, rather than relying on passive defense, Chuxuan switched from defense to offense. He charged straight at the five opponents, intending to defeat them with thunderous speed and force them into total submission.
It was then that Chuxuan unleashed the Yang Five Thunder Technique, wanting to test its true power. A faint, imperceptible golden light flickered vaguely across his knuckles, which the five opposing disciples failed to notice. Only Zhang Yuqing, watching from the side, seemed to catch it.
As Zhang Yuqing stared at the faint white glow shimmering on Chuxuan's fist, a deeply shocking hypothesis suddenly arose in his heart. Rumor had it that disciples of the Celestial Master Mansion who mastered the Golden Light Spell to a certain degree could progress to practicing thunder techniques. Once the golden light became incomparably refined, it could transform into the Five Thunders Orthodox Method, and the white light flashing across Chuxuan's knuckles was precisely the manifestation of a mastered thunder technique.
Zhang Yuqing's heart was shaken to the core; he simply dared not think any further. After all, Chuxuan had joined Longhu Mountain less than half a year ago, yet he was already capable of practicing thunder techniques—this was nothing short of miraculous! Ordinarily, disciples of the Celestial Master Mansion needed at least a full year after entering the sect before they could cultivate thunder techniques. Zhang Yuqing looked at Chuxuan with a gaze brimming with astonishment.
By now, Chuxuan's fist had already struck toward one of the five disciples. The disciple hurriedly threw a punch in response. The next instant, their fists collided, and a sharp, piercing sensation instantly surged from Chuxuan's fist into the disciple's body, instantly numbing him all over and robbing him of sensation. Even his fist, which had collided with Chuxuan, felt not the slightest bit of pain as he was sent flying straight back by a single punch from Chuxuan.
The disciple who had been sent flying crashed heavily to the ground, trembling slightly before losing consciousness altogether.
Seeing this, a hint of surprise crossed Chuxuan's mind. He had not expected a punch infused with the Yang Five Thunder Technique to pack such devastating power, knocking the disciple out cold on the spot.
The remaining four disciples were equally stunned by the sight. Just as they prepared to launch an attack on Chuxuan, they felt a gust of wind sweep past their ears and saw their companion sent flying to the ground not far away.
Chuxuan's strike had thoroughly shaken them to their core, but he had no intention of stopping there. Since this was a sparring match, he needed to make them submit heart and soul.
With a slight pause, Chuxuan threw another punch. Seeing this, the other four disciples hurriedly rushed him together.
Without the slightest hesitation, Chuxuan charged relentlessly at the four opponents, his punch momentum fierce and his speed unabated. In an instant, he collided head-on with one of the disciples, while the attacks of the other two landed squarely on Chuxuan's body.
The scene seemed frozen in time for a fraction of a second before the victor was decided. The disciple who had clashed with Chuxuan was sent flying backward just like his predecessor, while the attacks that landed on Chuxuan caused him zero damage.
After sending that disciple flying, only two disciples remained by Chuxuan's sides. Their fists were still pressed against Chuxuan's body, but they felt as though they were hammering into a solid boulder—a bizarre sensation that left both of them deeply perplexed.
Looking calmly at the two disciples, Chuxuan said with a faint smile, "Well, how does that feel?"
Seeing that Chuxuan was completely unhurt, the two disciples realized at once that their calculations had completely backfired. Puzzled, they glared at Chuxuan and readied themselves to attack again.
How could Chuxuan possibly give them another chance? The moment they began to pull their fists back, Chuxuan moved. He reached out with both hands and grabbed their retracting wrists.
Instantly, the two disciples felt their wrists caught in a powerful grip. The force was like an iron clamp, locking their wrists firmly in place. Panic set in immediately, and both disciples struggled desperately, trying to break free from Chuxuan's grip.
Yet Chuxuan's hands remained as unmoving as statues, making it impossible for the two disciples to pull their arms away. Panic surged even higher, and beads of anxious sweat popped up on their foreheads.
Chuxuan looked at the pair with an amused smile playing at the corners of his mouth. Realizing they could not break free after struggling for a moment, the two disciples exchanged glances, then threw simultaneous punches at Chuxuan. They hoped to force him to block, which would compel him to release his grip so they could escape.
Their plan was sound, but they severely underestimated Chuxuan's strength. Chuxuan had numerous ways to trap them; they stood no chance of escaping in front of him.
Noticing the two disciples' petty tricks, Chuxuan easily anticipated their next move. Why would he ever give them a chance? Even if he did, the two of them were hardly capable of piercing his Golden Light Spell.
Choosing not to defend passively, Chuxuan took the initiative. The moment they drew their fists back to strike, Chuxuan moved. Pushing off slightly with the soles of his feet and lowering his center of gravity, he instantly increased the strength in his hands. Gripping the two disciples by the wrists, he hoisted them right off the ground. Then, exerting force through his waist and pivoting his arms, he smashed the two disciples directly into one another.
The impact left the pair utterly dazed and seeing stars. Without a moment's hesitation, Chuxuan threw them both out with a powerful heave.
With two dull thuds, the pair crashed together, collapsing into a miserable heap alongside the other three disciples.
And thus, the five individuals who had originally intended to target Chuxuan ended up retreating in total defeat.
