Chapter 1

Lin Feng woke up with a sudden start.
Staring at the unfamiliar surroundings, he fell into deep contemplation.
Where is this?
Standing respectfully on the ground right in front of him was an Abyss Mage.
Normally, Abyss Mages hovered mid-air, but today this one was actually standing on the ground.
"Prince, are you alright?" the Abyss Mage asked with a hint of concern.
"What the hell, an Abyss Mage!" Lin Feng cried out in surprise.
Because the Abyss Mage was rather short, Lin Feng only noticed him when he spoke.
Just then, a sharp pain struck Lin Feng's head.
It felt as though countless things were drilling into his brain.
A fragment of Aether's memories suddenly surfaced in his mind.
In those memories, he had a cute yet slightly snarky blonde younger sister.
Regaining his composure, Lin Feng looked down at his own hands and asked the Abyss Mage, "Is there a mirror?"
"Yes," the Abyss Mage answered immediately.
The Abyss Mage flew off to the side and rummaged frantically through a pile of miscellaneous items.
Lin Feng looked into the mirror and saw a handsome blonde youth reflected back at him.
Isn't this literally Aether?
At that moment, Lin Feng understood.
He had transmigrated—transmigrated into Teyvat.
[Ding] [Congratulations to the host for successfully awakening the Abyss System] [Emergency Notice: The Abyss System will self-destruct in 9 years] [Note: When the system self-destructs, the host will also die] [Friendly Tip: To prevent the system from self-destructing, overturning the Heavenly Principles is your only path. Do your best, Host!]
"You've got to be kidding me, just nine years?"
A translucent light screen emitting a faint black glow suddenly appeared before Lin Feng.
Wasn't this system interface a bit too creepy? Weren't other people's systems usually golden or shaped like adorable little anime girls? Why was his system interface pitch black?
Lin Feng opened the system's beginner guide to take a look.
The system's functions were mainly divided into two parts: the shop and detailed Abyss information.
Aside from random 3-star weapons, every other grid in the shop was pitch black and temporarily unavailable for viewing.
It was worth noting that 3-star weapons only cost 1 Primogem each.
As for the only current way to acquire Primogems, it was by increasing the Abyss's combat strength, thereby raising the probability of defeating the Heavenly Principles.
For every one percent increase in the probability of defeating the Heavenly Principles, 1,000 Primogems would be awarded.
In other words, Lin Feng could raise his combat strength to earn Primogems, use those Primogems in the shop to exchange for weapons, further boost the Abyss's combat strength, and thus create a virtuous cycle.
The other part was the detailed Abyss information function.
It allowed him to check the current combat strength of the Abyss. As well as the fact that the Abyss Order had 100 Abyss Mages under its banner.
Aside from the Abyss Mages, there were also two Abyss Heralds.
Noticing that the number of Abyss Heralds didn't quite match his memories, Lin Feng temporarily suppressed his doubts and continued browsing the system functions.
The system displayed the approximate locations of his subordinates.
At the moment, most of the Abyss Mages were not in the Abyss, but scattered across the Seven Nations on various activities.
As for the two Abyss Heralds, one had gone to Inazuma, and the other to the far-off land of the Pyro Archon.
Aside from all that, it also stated that the current probability of the Abyss overturning the Heavenly Principles was 0%.
Lin Feng put away the system interface.
Since he had already arrived in Teyvat, he naturally had to live life to the fullest.
Yet why did the system countdown have to be only nine years? That meant he could live for at most another nine years. His wonderful life was about to be ruined before it even started.
At this thought, Lin Feng resolved that he absolutely had to overthrow the Heavenly Principles.
He would let the light of the Abyss illuminate the entirety of Teyvat.
To achieve this, strengthening the combat power of the Abyss was essential.
Lin Feng looked at the Abyss Mage beside him and asked, "Does the Order have any major operations underway recently?"
The Abyss Mage replied respectfully, "We are currently planning to locate Dvalin, the Dragon of the East, and convert him to our Abyss."
"Oh." Lin Feng nodded.
He now had a rough idea of where they were on the timeline.
This meant they hadn't controlled Dvalin yet, nor had they even found his location. Which also meant his younger sister Lumine had not yet awakened.
Since Lin Feng wanted to increase his combat strength and overthrow the Heavenly Principles, he naturally couldn't let his sister mess up his plans.
Once his sister woke up, he planned to have a proper talk with her. Of course, it was still too early for that.
In Lin Feng's view, aside from Dvalin, there were many people in Mondstadt who could be recruited into the Abyss. Like Noelle, Eula, and others.
Poaching right from the backyard of the Heavenly Principles right at the start—since Noelle and the others belonged to the faction of the Heavenly Principles, it would be a waste not to poach them.
With this in mind, Lin Feng decided to first take a look at the City of Mondstadt. After all, knowing oneself and the enemy guaranteed victory in every battle.
However, his current location was within the Abyss, which was rather far from Mondstadt. Every member of the Abyss Order should theoretically be able to teleport.
Lin Feng searched his mind for the method of teleportation.
He had inherited a portion of Aether's memories, such as everyday moments shared between Aether and his sister Lumine, as well as how to use his own abilities.
Lin Feng spoke to the Abyss Mage standing nearby.
"Let's go. Accompany me on a trip. By the way, what is your name?"
Lin Feng figured that with so many Abyss Mage subordinates, they couldn't possibly all just be called "Abyss Mage"!
The Abyss Mage replied respectfully, "This subordinate does not yet have a name."
"Oh, is that so?"
Lin Feng continued, "Then I'll give you a name later."
Doing this could also strengthen his subordinates' loyalty to him, Lin Feng thought to himself.
"Teleport."
Soon, Lin Feng and the Abyss Mage arrived in the wilderness outside Mondstadt.
In Lin Feng's opinion, with an ability as overpowered as teleportation, how on earth could Abyss Mages ever be killed by their enemies? Theoretically, as long as one activated teleportation the instant an enemy was spotted, it could reduce the probability of death by 90 percent.
At that moment, Lin Feng noticed a Hilichurl Camp by the roadside.
"By the way, you should be able to control the Hilichurls, right?" Lin Feng asked the Abyss Mage.
In Genshin Impact, Abyss Mages were capable of manipulating the actions of Hilichurls.
"Yes, Prince," the Abyss Mage answered respectfully.
At this, Lin Feng recalled that the story of Genshin Impact seemed to mention that Hilichurls were the descendants of Khaenri'ah.
However, according to his Abyss Mage companion, not all Hilichurls were remnants of Khaenri'ah. A portion of the Hilichurls had existed upon the land since a very, very long time ago (perhaps survivors of an even older ancient nation?). Another portion of the Hilichurls were consumables manufactured by the Abyss Order using the alchemy left behind by Khaenri'ah.
The Hilichurls normally driven by the Abyss Order were basically the latter. After all, no matter what, the Abyss Order were also remnants of Khaenri'ah; they wouldn't exploit those Hilichurls who were fellow remnants of their people. Besides, the Abyss Order was also searching for a way to save their people.
Right then, Lin Feng suddenly caught sight of a caravan in the distance.
