Chapter 8

"By the way, what is your world like?" Lin Yu asked, pretending not to know.
Zhongli: "In our world, people mainly cultivate by means of Elemental Energy. Aside from individual gods, Dragon Sovereigns, and a few unique beings capable of wielding Elemental Energy, ordinary people must rely on Visions to master it. According to historical records, Visions are external magical organs granted by the Seven Archons. Ordinary people can use them to channel Elemental Energy from the air for their own use, and the method of obtaining a Vision is quite simple. When a person's desire reaches its absolute peak, the Seven Archons cast their gaze upon them, and thus a Vision is bestowed."
Welt: "In this universe, everything is driven by Paths. As long as your actions align with an Aeon's Path, you can receive their blessing. Although Aeons possess immense power, they can only act in accordance with their own Path—it has both good and bad sides. For example, the Aeon of Destruction, in practicing their Path, destroys everything in the world."
Looking at the brief introductions from the two of them, Lin Yu couldn't help smiling. After all, he had played both of these games himself, so how could he not know? Asking was simply a way to better dispel any suspicions among the group that the chat room had anything to do with him.
Lin Yu: "Well—I've already roughly told you about the world I'm currently in, so I won't repeat it. I'm going to go try and see if I can cultivate Dou Qi. Bye-bye."
"Lin Yu has gone offline..."
"Ding, the Genshin Impact fan-made video 'Furina: You're the fool, your whole Serenitea Pot is full of fools!' is about to start playing."
Furina: How could it be me?
As the video begins, Furina pushes the door open directly.
"Am I really that foolish, Neuvillette?"
Furina shouts loudly as she rushes in, grabbing an otter and shaking it while demanding, "Why did you shrink, Neuvillette?"
Furina: Neuvillette, why are you looking at me like that? It's not like I can't even tell the difference between you and an otter. Am I really that foolish?
Neuvillette: Apologies, Lady Furina.
At that moment, Neuvillette and Navia walk in.
"I am right here, Miss Furina."
"I've heard so many people calling me a mascot and saying I'm a complete fool. Am I really that foolish?" Furina asks Neuvillette, crying with a wronged expression.
"How could you be foolish?" Navia says awkwardly.
"Not at all. You are very clever," Neuvillette replies with his eyes closed, somewhat against his conscience.
"You all care too much about my status. I'd better go ask that blockhead Traveler next door," Furina says, her expression instantly shifting to one of delight.
"Oh no, that dense guy," Neuvillette and Navia's faces sink instantly.
Immediately following is what the two of them imagine: (The Traveler appears floating above, laughing and pointing at Furina, saying, "Hehehe, what a total dummy.")
Recovering their wits, the two of them immediately step in front of Furina to block her way.
"We really aren't deceiving you."
"Right, wouldn't answering this question prove that you aren't foolish?"
"Pray tell, our esteemed Chief Justice, how many documents does he have to process in a day?"
Furina blurts out, "One."
"That's right, exactly—"
Neuvillette once again goes against his conscience, saying, "Miss Furina is already extremely clever; there is no need to verify it further."
Furina says with a pout, "I said one! Don't ignore me!"
"Second question," Navia says, quickly shifting Focalors's attention.
"Why is there a second question?!" Focalors asks angrily.
Navia directly ignores Focalors's question.
"Which distance is greater: going up the Fontaine waterfall or going down the Fontaine waterfall?"
Furina immediately falls into deep thought.
"Taking into consideration the movement of water molecules, the acceleration due to gravity... Therefore, going down the waterfall is more... No..."
"Aren't they the exact same distance?!"
Hearing Focalors's answer, Navia hurriedly offers her congratulations and praise: "You are truly brilliant, Hydro Archon!"
Focalors's little face flushes red with anger.
"No, I must go ask the Traveler."
Just as Focalors is still talking to Neuvillette, Navia flips the sign hanging on the door, which originally read "PUSH," revealing the word "PULL" on the back.
Yet Focalors pulls the door to the left, pushes it to the right, and no matter how hard she tries, she cannot open it.
Furina: Ah—it's driving me crazy! I am not that foolish!
Then Focalors crashes straight through a wall, running off while still shouting, "Ha! When God closes a door, I'll just smash through a wall!"
"Ah, Furina, why are you here?"
At this moment, Aether is shirtless on the bed, holding a pair of glasses in his right hand—unclear whether he is about to put them on or has just taken them off—and right beside the Traveler is Lyney, hugging a pillow.
Furina looks down at the Traveler from her superior height.
"Traveler, do you think I'm foolish?"
As soon as Furina finishes speaking, Neuvillette and Navia rush over, thinking to themselves: *Oh no, this dense guy.*
At this moment, the image of the Traveler pointing at Furina and calling her a "total dummy" flashes through their minds again.
But much to their surprise, the Traveler says gently, "What are you talking about~ Furina is just Furina~"
"False alarm. Turns out he's not that dense after all."
Just as the two of them let out a sigh of relief, the Traveler's next sentence pulls them right back to reality and leaves them utterly speechless.
"I just love how foolish you look."
"Traveler, you are truly 'charming'."
In the end, only the Traveler's miserable screams echo through the room.
"Ding, the video has finished playing."
