Back in the day, Ultraman Jack once used the rebound effect of the Ultra Barrier, combined with the full output of Ultra Psychokinesis, to push back a surging tsunami!
Guchen could not push back a tsunami.
But wiping out this group of Rifthounds and Rifthound Whelps was no problem at all!
As Guchen pushed forward with all his might, a terrifying psychic wave roared outward! It was even mixed with diffusing, flickering Light Energy!
If it were only psychokinesis, the effect produced would merely be a pushing and impact force.
However, with the addition of the Light Element, this impact force contained the power to tear everything apart!
Moreover, because Guchen's control was extremely delicate, the rebound of the psychokinesis completely bypassed the wolf pack right at the front!
The people protected behind him saw a surging tremor, and a fantastical light rushed forward!
A thick layer of soil was instantly blasted away from the ground, and wherever the psychokinesis reached, trees were uprooted and then torn into wooden fragments!
With wood and soil suffering such a fate, the Rifthounds and Rifthound Whelps struck directly by the psychokinesis naturally fared no better.
One could see these blood-stained hounds letting out wails as their bodies were uncontrollably blasted away, and then shattered layer by layer in the process of being blown back!
Finally, the shattered pieces were also annihilated, turning into completely unsupported Abyssal Power before ultimately dissipating.
The roaring tremors finally subsided, and the destruction right before them finally stopped.
Originally, the ground in front of Guchen was relatively intact.
Right at this moment, however, an expanding fan-shaped area had appeared on the ground before Guchen.
The ground within this sector had all been overturned and destroyed, looking as though it had been deeply plowed.
All the dark, damp soil underneath had been turned up and exposed to the sunlight.
Having finished all this, Guchen lowered his hands as if he had merely done something insignificant.
The people behind stared at Guchen's back, each and every one of them struck dumb with shock.
This kind of power, this kind of might... truly worthy of a traveler who easily defeated Stormterror!
Just as everyone was lost in various thoughts, many wolves crawled out from beneath the overturned earth.
The expressions of these wolves were much clearer. As they crawled out, limping and in a sorry state, the gazes they cast at Guchen were filled with panic and unease.
Discovering that the ordinary wolves had actually not been harmed, and that only the monsters had been killed, the people behind looked at Guchen's back with a few more degrees of admiration.
This kind of control, distinguishing between friend and foe with peak precision, was truly enough to inspire reverence.
Immediately afterward, however, everyone noticed that even though these wolves had stopped attacking, an ominous blackish-purple color still hovered across their bodies.
It seemed the Abyssal Erosion had not yet been completely eradicated.
Without needing any idle chatter, Guchen rubbed his hands together, and the Full Moon Wave rained down over a large area ahead.
Bathed in the Full Moon Wave, the Abyssal Power on the bodies of these wolves visibly and rapidly dissipated.
They were all purified in an instant, and even their injuries were healed along with it.
Wolves, too, possessed spiritual intelligence.
Feeling their bodies recover, this pack of wolves looked at Guchen with gratitude in their eyes.
The alpha wolf among them even walked over of its own accord, lowering its body and head while whimpering softly toward Guchen.
It seemed to be expressing submission, or perhaps pleading for something?
Paimon, watching the alpha wolf's behavior from behind, asked in confusion:
"Eh? What is this wolf trying to express?"
Having listened to the alpha wolf's whimpers, Guchen turned his head and replied:
"It wants me to help save Lupus Boreas."
Paimon nodded.
Suddenly, realization dawned, and she looked at Guchen in astonishment:
"Eh? You can even understand wolf language?!"
Guchen shook his head:
"No.
Psychokinesis is essentially a manifestation of mental power.
Now that my mental power and soul power have been vastly enhanced, I can naturally perceive the demands and emotions of different species."
"So that's how it is..."
Paimon nodded, and then fell into a minor breakdown:
"Easier said than done! How could something like that be so easy to pull off?!"
Guchen turned his head away, no longer dwelling on the topic, and looked at the alpha wolf in front of him:
"We're here to save Andrius anyway. Lead the way."
The alpha wolf let out a joyful whimper, immediately spun around and sprinted forward, with the rest of the wolf pack following closely behind to lead the path.
Nothing more needed to be said. Everyone had long since prepared themselves and immediately followed the wolf pack deep into the heart of Wolvendom.
Guided by the wolves, they darted left and right through the dense forest, venturing deeper and deeper.
Along the way, they naturally encountered other packs of wolves or monsters trying to block their path.
This time, however, Guchen didn't even need to make a move; all enemies were taken care of by the four members of the Knights of Favonius and Venti.
Jokes aside, if they didn't put in some effort this time, they were going to be suspected of just freeloading.
Guchen followed unhurriedly, taking charge of support.
Guchen didn't need to worry about the Rifthounds and other monsters they killed.
However, for the ordinary wolves they defeated, Guchen needed to use the Full Moon Wave to purify and heal them afterward.
Thus, the party ventured deeper and deeper, defeating more and more enemies, and gathering more and more wolves along the way.
Before they knew it, the monsters throwing themselves into the jaws of death were becoming scarcer.
Before they knew it, the wolf pack gathered around them essentially comprised every single wolf in Wolvendom.
Not far ahead lay the Lupus Boreas Altar.
As they drew closer, Lisa began to grow somewhat uneasy.
Jean keenly detected her close friend's unease:
"Lisa, what's wrong?"
Biting her lower lip, Lisa decided to tell the truth after all:
"We've made it all the way here, and we still haven't found Razor. I'm worried..."
Thinking of Razor, everyone's mood grew somewhat dim.
Amidst the oppressive gloom, Diluc, who usually disliked talking the most, actually offered a couple of comforting words:
"Not seeing Razor might just be the best-case scenario.
Everyone, stay focused, we're almost there!"
Reminded, Lisa immediately put on a serious expression; she truly needed to concentrate now.
The circular altar ahead, which occupied a vast area and sank deep into the ground, was the Lupus Boreas Altar.
The lingering soul of that old wolf was right inside.
Logically speaking, it should have remained attached to the wolf-shaped mural and not appeared before them unless strictly necessary.
However, right at this very moment, Lupus Boreas was standing right in the absolute center of the altar, as if welcoming them.
Moreover, the condition of Andrius was terribly wrong!
Originally, the Wolf of the North was already massive, but now Andrius's size had swelled by another full circle.
Not only was its body gigantic, but its fur color had also changed from the original blue and white to an unearthly purple and gray!
Its body was surging not only with the Cryo and Anemo elements, but also blazing with a purple-black Abyssal Power resembling fire.
A pair of wolf eyes had lost their calm, instead emitting a dazzling red glow.
Within that red light surged an abundance of murderous intent and ferocity, while its aura was completely filled with madness and agitation!
Even on the surface of Andrius's body, large patches of ghostly white bone had sprouted, looking thoroughly wrong.
If one had to describe it, the current Lupus Boreas actually bore a striking resemblance to a Rifthound!
Truly living up to having been eroded by the Abyss.
