Chapter 110

1,730 words9 minutes read

A rare period of stable barriers in the Serenitea Pot draped over frayed nerves like a soft, warm woolen blanket. The crisis had not passed, but right now, the strange runway rising in the center of the Core Area plaza was igniting another kind of flame called "hope." The framework of the runway was made of sturdy oak, as solid as a fortress. The surface was paved with Akaho corn fiber carpets meticulously woven by Sumeru artisans, their natural textures flowing with a warm golden hue under the lights. On both sides stood masterpieces by Fontaine artisans—gear-shaped metal lampstands with "stable light source units" produced by the Limeng laboratory embedded inside. Thin crystal ore was polished into perfect lenses, behind which modified Silk Flower lamp oil burned silently—smoke-free and odorless, pouring out only a light as soft as moonlight. The spectator seats were cleverly pieced together from retired Millelith shields, with every trace of wear acting as a silent epic. On the backrests, the geo symbols of Liyue, the eagle crests of Mondstadt, the electro tomoe of Inazuma—the symbols of the seven nations of Teyvat were clearly engraved, silently recounting the convergence of civilizations in this tiny space. The lights turned on one by one, like stars lighting up the night sky of the Serenitea Pot.
