I flicked Jubaoge on his big forehead and said nothing more. He was precocious for his age, but he was still just an elementary school student, and he was closer to Juyan. He thought that as long as I returned to the Ju family, we could all make dumplings together. Unfortunately, the place he called home was, to me, nothing more than a prison with a basement. At noon, My Mom cooked, preparing a table of questionable culinary experiments that left Jubaoge with a bad case of diarrhea. He had arrived that morning looking rosy-cheeked, but by now, he was so sick from constant trips to the bathroom that his face had turned sallow. I hurriedly went downstairs to buy him anti-diarrhea medication. After taking the medicine, Jubaoge changed into a pair of my summer shorts and bid us a listless farewell. My Mom asked, "Aren't you taking your pants with you?" Jubaoge replied weakly, "No... just throw them far away..."
