Zhao Yun and his companions did not actually care about whether Cai Xier lived or died. Everyone knew that Cai Xier was a man of poor character, and Lin Dong killing him could truly be considered an act of justice. The problem was that Cai Xier was a child of a prominent family; having been killed right in front of Zhao Yun, if the Cai Family were to come demanding an explanation, Zhao Yun would be in a difficult position. What truly infuriated Zhao Yun, however, was that Lin Dong clearly did not hold them, these old-timers, in any regard. Killing someone to their faces showed no respect for Zhao Yun and the others at all; it was essentially a slap in the face. He wanted to berate Lin Dong and have a falling out with him, but awkwardly, he could not find a single word to counter Lin Dong with.
