After repelling the dark army, the city lay in ruins, but the eyes of the people were filled with gratitude and hope toward Lin Qiye and his companions. Lin Qiye, Shen Qingzhu, and the Little Girl had no time to rest. Knowing the tenacity of the Dark Power, they understood they must repair the Divine Orb as soon as possible and use it alongside the Origin Power of the World to completely eradicate the darkness.
Carrying the Divine Orb, they came to a quiet and spiritually vibrant Mountain Valley, an environment that would help them concentrate on repairing the artifact. Lin Qiye placed the Divine Orb upon a flat boulder, and then sat down in a circle around it with Shen Qingzhu and the Little Girl.
Lin Qiye first slowly channeled the Origin Power of the World into the Divine Orb. Nourished by this power, the orb's once-dimmed radiance began to shine anew. However, a few fine cracks still remained on the artifact—scars left behind from the previous loss of control over its power and their numerous battles.
"We need to find some special materials to repair these cracks," Lin Qiye said, looking at the Divine Orb.
"There might be records in the ancient texts," Shen Qingzhu suggested.
They set up a simple camp in the Mountain Valley and began consulting the ancient texts they had brought along. After some searching, they discovered several materials that could potentially be used to repair the artifact: the Mysterious Coral from the deep sea, the Flame Crystal from the depths of a volcano, the Divine Wood Essence from an ancient forest, and the stardust from the ruins of the Sky City.
"None of these materials will be easy to find," the Little Girl said with a frown.
"But we have to try," Lin Qiye said firmly.
First, they headed to the deep sea to search for the Mysterious Coral. With the aid of the Water-Averting Bead, they plunged into the ocean depths. The deep sea carried immense water pressure and dim light, but they did not give up. After a long and arduous search, they finally located the Mysterious Coral in a submarine canyon. Lin Qiye carefully harvested some of the Mysterious Coral. Then they left the deep sea and set off for the depths of a volcano in search of the Flame Crystal. The interior of the volcano was scorching hot, with magma churning all around, but relying on their powerful Spiritual Energy Shield, they forged ahead through the harsh conditions. In the core region of the volcano, they found the Flame Crystal. It resembled a ball of burning fire, radiating intense heat, and was the crystallization of volcanic power.
Next, they traveled to the ancient forest to find the Divine Wood Essence. The ancient forest was fraught with various dangerous traps and mysterious creatures, but with the help of the Little Girl's ability to communicate with the spirits of the forest, they successfully located the divine tree. The divine tree towered into the clouds, golden liquid flowing down its trunk—this was the Divine Wood Essence. They gathered some of the Divine Wood Essence and then set off toward the ruins of the Sky City.
The ruins of the Sky City floated high above the clouds, and they reached them with the help of a flying artifact. The ruins were filled with ancient mechanisms and powerful Guardians, but relying on their previous combat experience and tacit cooperation, they successfully broke through all obstacles and found the stardust. The stardust glittered like brilliant stars, shining with a captivating light that held the power of the heavens.
Returning to the Mountain Valley with these materials, they began repairing the artifact. Lin Qiye processed the Mysterious Coral, Flame Crystal, Divine Wood Essence, and stardust according to the methods described in the ancient texts, blended them into the Origin Power of the World, and then slowly infused them into the Divine Orb.
Through their efforts, the cracks on the Divine Orb began to heal gradually. The glow of the orb grew increasingly dazzling, and its power was gradually restored. After days and nights of arduous work, the Divine Orb was finally completely repaired. Radiating a power even greater than before, the restored Divine Orb seemed to merge perfectly with the Origin Power of the World, becoming the ultimate weapon against the Dark Power.
"The artifact is repaired. Now we can completely eradicate the Dark Power," Lin Qiye said excitedly as he picked up the Divine Orb.
At that very moment, a strange light appeared in the sky, revealing a mysterious figure within it. Exuding a powerful aura, the mysterious figure's voice echoed across the heavens and the earth: "You have done well, but the root of the Dark Power still remains. You must travel to the end of the world, find the Spring of Darkness, and infuse the power of the artifact into it to completely vanquish the darkness. This is your new mission."
