When they finally arrived at World's End, the sight before them made them gasp. It was a world of darkness and utter silence. Not a shred of light pierced the sky, which was draped in endless gloom. On the ground, a pool of black spring water exuded a pungent odor as it slowly bubbled—this was the Spring of Darkness, the source of all Dark Power.
Thick, dark mist hung heavy around the Spring of Darkness. Within the vapor, distorted figures could be vaguely seen struggling, as though they were souls imprisoned by the Dark Power. These souls let out shrill, miserable screams that echoed through the dead silence, chilling anyone to the bone.
"This is the Spring of Darkness. We must be careful," Lin Qiye said, gripping his sword tightly and scanning his surroundings with vigilance.
Just as they prepared to approach the Spring of Darkness, a swarm of Dark Wraiths suddenly surged out of the dark mist. Though their bodies were ethereal, the malice in their eyes chilled the blood. They lunged toward Lin Qiye and the others, emitting sharp, piercing screeches.
Lin Qiye unleashed "Starlight Purification", and his sword burst with dazzling radiance. Wherever the light reached, the Dark Wraiths dissolved one after another. Yet more Dark Wraiths poured endlessly from the mist, seemingly infinite.
Shen Qingzhu shielded the Little Girl with his shield, his spear dancing like a spiritual snake to beat back the approaching Dark Wraiths. "This can't go on. We need to find a way to disperse these Dark Wraiths," he shouted.
The Little Girl looked at the Dark Wraiths and suddenly thought of a solution. "Uncle, I can try using the power of the Divine Orb." She took out the Divine Orb, focused her mind, and channeled her Spiritual Power into it. The Divine Orb emitted a five-colored radiance that gradually expanded, forming a protective barrier. When the Dark Wraiths touched the barrier, they melted away like snow.
"Great, let's keep going," Lin Qiye said. Protected by the barrier, they walked toward the Spring of Darkness.
However, as they drew close, the Spring of Darkness suddenly churned violently, and a massive Dark Demon surged out from within. The Dark Demon's body was forged from condensed Dark Power. Huge horns sprouted from its head, black flames burned in its eyes, and with a single flap of its wings, it whipped up a storm of darkness.
"You foolish mortals, how dare you disturb my slumber!" the Dark Demon roared.
"We are here to destroy you and eradicate the Dark Power!" Lin Qiye shouted back.
The Dark Demon burst into wild laughter. "Just the likes of you? Come then!" Waving its massive claws, it lunged at Lin Qiye and the others.
Lin Qiye and Shen Qingzhu met the enemy in unison. Lin Qiye executed the "Starlight Annihilation Sword", slashing toward the Dark Demon's head, while Shen Qingzhu thrust his spear at the creature's abdomen. The Dark Demon casually batted away Lin Qiye's attack with one claw and swiped with the other, sending Shen Qingzhu flying.
"Qingzhu!" Lin Qiye cried out. He wanted to check on Shen Qingzhu, but the Dark Demon's attacks followed one after another. Lin Qiye had no choice but to focus entirely on the beast, dodging its onslaught while searching for its weakness.
Seeing that Shen Qingzhu was injured, the Little Girl ran to his side and used the power of the Divine Orb to heal him. Shen Qingzhu slowly opened his eyes. "I'm fine. We have to face this demon together."
They rose to their feet and charged back at the Dark Demon. This time, they changed their tactics: Lin Qiye drew the Dark Demon's attention while Shen Qingzhu and the Little Girl attacked from the flanks. In the heat of battle, they noticed that every time the Dark Demon used its dark storm attack, its body entered a brief period of weakness.

Fusing the power of the Divine Orb with his own ultimate strength, he brought his sword down upon the Dark Demon's weakness. "We can't let it recover! Keep attacking!" Lin Qiye shouted. They pressed the offensive once more, and under the relentless barrage, the Dark Demon's body grew weaker and the cracks multiplied.
Finally, through their concerted efforts, the Dark Demon collapsed with a deafening crash, dissolving into a plume of dark mist that vanished into the air. However, the Spring of Darkness was still radiating Dark Power; they knew they had to channel the power of the Divine Orb into it to completely vanquish the darkness.
Holding the Divine Orb, Lin Qiye poured his entire stock of Spiritual Power into it. The orb blazed with a brilliant light that illuminated the entire realm of darkness.
Guided by Lin Qiye, the power of the orb surged toward the Spring of Darkness like a torrent. The spring began to tremble violently as the Dark Power and the bright energy of the orb collided, generating immense energy fluctuations.
Amidst the fierce clash, Lin Qiye clenched his teeth, relentlessly pouring power into the orb. He knew full well that the moment he relented, the darkness could make a comeback.
At last, the Spring of Darkness was gradually suppressed, and the Dark Power it radiated slowly dissipated. When the very last trace of darkness vanished, the entire space was filled with light.
Lin Qiye let out a long breath, a tired yet comforted smile on his face. They had ultimately emerged victorious in this decisive battle against the darkness. Yet their adventure was far from over; many more challenges awaited them ahead.
