The Little Girl and the Guardians found themselves in a difficult predicament. The new Dark Power represented by the Black Crystal continued to grow stronger, and every method they tried failed to inflict any substantial damage upon it.
They discovered records of a mysterious Sealing Technique in ancient texts, which might be used to seal the Black Crystal. Consequently, the Guardians set out to find the materials and clues needed to cast this sealing technique.
In an ancient ruin, they found a stone tablet inscribed with critical information about the Sealing Technique. The text on the tablet was ancient and obscure; through the joint interpretation by the Little Girl and the wise ones, they learned that they needed to find the core items of four elemental powers: the Heart of Ice Crystal from the Land of Extreme Cold, the Core of Scorching Sun deep within the Desert, the Leaf of Life in the ancient forest, and the Eye of the Storm on the Sky Island.
