After leaving Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Albert did not take a boat straight back to Britain. Instead, he took Isobel back to the house the Flamels had left them and began searching every corner of the place carefully.
Looking at Albert, who was rummaging through boxes and cabinets, Isobel asked in puzzlement, "What are you looking for?"
"Looking for something Mr. Flamel left for us."
