Instead, he went straight to the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor. He intended to write down the one hundred riddles and answers posed by the Eagle Knocker before he forgot them after a while. Quick memorization was never enduring. Unless Albert were constantly quizzed by the Eagle Knocker like a true Ravenclaw student, it would be impossible for him to retain the general content after a long period of time. As the saying went: "The dullest pencil is better than the sharpest memory."
