Chapter 1601

1,283 words6 minutes read

Alice had never been to King's Cross Station in London, nor had she ever had the chance to see Platform 9¾ with her own eyes. However, she had read *Memoirs of Hogwarts* (unpublished), compiled by Albert Anderson, ever since she was a child, and knew what that platform truly meant to the vast majority of incoming first-year students. She also understood why Miss Hermione hadn't used a simpler and more convenient method like Apparition to bring the three of them directly to Platform 9¾. Therefore, Alice still held a small sense of anticipation toward walking through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. In Albert's words, some things should still be experienced in person; otherwise, it always felt like something was missing. The next day, Alice woke up early. After quickly polishing off the breakfast prepared by the house-elf, she scooped up Ian and Sophia, who were equally excited, and rode in Albert's specially modified car, cruising unhindered all the way to King's Cross Station.
