During the second half of their second year, students needed to choose their subjects for the third year. Although this wouldn't be officially announced until the Easter holidays, Shanna had learned about it in advance from Percy, with whom she had a good relationship, and wanted to hear Albert's opinion. "Muggle Studies, Divination, and Arithmancy are the easiest subjects for you," Albert told Shanna after finishing a piece of toast smeared with jam. "Ancient Runes is quite difficult, like learning a foreign language, and I doubt many girls enjoy Care of Magical Creatures. Of course, if you're confident, you can take them all. Percy is taking them all, right?"
