As December arrived, the weather around Hogwarts grew increasingly harsh. The castle was frequently enveloped in biting blizzards, and the howling cold wind stung people's cheeks. Outdoor Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures classes became the two things everyone dreaded most. The corridors of Hogwarts were cold and damp, with the piercing gale whistling through loose windowpanes. People hurried along, nobody willing to linger in the hallway. Even the common rooms were chilly, and the empty seats by the fireplaces became the most coveted spots in the house. Albert had to pull on thick sweaters, wrap a scarf around his neck, put on gloves, and stuff his pockets with specially made warming charms and hot drinks. He strongly suspected that the weather had turned so foul due to a chain reaction caused by the massive presence of Dementors patrolling around Hogwarts.
