Ever since the attack, Ron Weasley had become the center of attention, and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy the feeling of being a celebrity. Whenever anyone wanted to listen, he was more than happy to recount what had happened that night, embellishing it with plenty of his own "details."
Neville Longbottom, whose blunder had allowed Sirius Black to successfully breach the Gryffindor tower, also faced punishment for the incident. The day after Black broke into the Gryffindor tower, Neville received a Howler from his grandmother. For a time, Mr. Longbottom successfully replaced Malfoy as the prime subject of lunchtime gossip.
None of this affected Albert, however, who continued to live his usual busy and fulfilling life.
