In McDougal's original plan, the book he was writing was to be divided into three parts, and the parchment he had just taken out was the manuscript for the second part. Albert pulled a few sheets from the stack of parchment and began reading them carefully, using his quill to help correct flaws in the wording along with occasionally discussing potential problems in the text with the other two. Isobel was undoubtedly the most frustrated person present, because she couldn't understand it at all, let alone chime in on their discussion.
