Albert enjoyed the meal thoroughly; most of the dishes were imbued with a distinct Spanish flair. Among them was a cold soup called gazpacho, which Bard insisted was an absolute must-try when visiting Spain in the summer.
Yet what amazed Albert the most was the Spanish paella. Rice was an absolute rarity in Europe; you could count the European countries that used rice as a staple on one hand. But there was no denying that the paella tasted genuinely wonderful and breathtakingly good.
For dessert, they had a famous Spanish custard, which was essentially a pudding with an incredible texture.
