Most travelers visiting France spend their time at the Arc de Triomphe and the Seine; given the chance, they would certainly want to sample famous French delicacies like foie gras and French onion soup... So why? Why would Herb take his family to see a French opera? Albert couldn't quite understand Herb's reasoning. Perhaps the budget was generous, or perhaps it was a rare opportunity, but in any case, it wasn't terribly important. Before returning to Britain, the Anderson family hurried over to the Opéra Bastille, planning to put a perfect full stop on their trip to France by watching a previously booked opera.
