When the two of them came downstairs, only Dudley was still struggling to drink the last drop of milk in his glass. Uncle Vernon had already left for work, and Aunt Petunia, as expected, was using gardening as an excuse to exchange neighborhood gossip with a neighbor.
Just as Harry and Allie sat down at the table with their breakfast, Dudley's little eyes darted greedily toward their plates.
