Large raindrops pounded against the ground, instantly causing the surface of the Black Lake to churn and froth like a boiling cauldron. Yet the fish inhabiting the lakebed were unusually active, swimming in schools to catch the insects or plant debris beaten down by the rain. Inside the Slytherin common room, a group of students had stopped in their tracks, standing before the floor-to-ceiling windows to watch the rare spectacle. "It's pouring. Good thing we don't have classes today. Still, those people out there are in for a miserable time."
