"Gong Yutian, no."
Watching the Laws of Heaven and Earth descend, Yeyun rushed madly toward Gong Yutian. However, this was no ordinary heavenly thunder; it was the manifestation of the Laws of Heaven and Earth. Not even a Soul-Absorbing Master, nor one abandoned by the heavens, could escape its arrival. The moment she charged into the area, she was directly repelled by a terrifying surge of energy, stumbling backward until she slammed hard against a stone pillar behind her.
*Puff...*
A mouthful of blood spilled from her lips. Yeyun felt as though her chest were being crushed by a massive boulder, and her entire body ached as if it had been pulverized. Yet, looking at the man struck by the heavenly thunder, she could not simply stand by and leave him to his fate.
"Xiao Jiu, get away quickly! You cannot handle these Laws of Heaven and Earth."
With eyes glowing red, Yeyun gripped her Zhan-Yan Spear so tightly that her knuckles cracked. "No, I am not leaving! Gong Yutian, listen to me: forget mere heavenly thunder—even if the skies were to fall and drag you away, they would still have to step over the corpse of Yeyun first!"
Stroke after stroke of tribulation thunder crashed down. Yeyun charged back in, blocking the might of the Heavenly Dao blow by blow.
*Boom!*
*Rumble...*
The dense thunderclouds blanketed the sky like a collapsing dome. Amidst the rolling black clouds, the power of thunder gathered, faintly emitting a purplish light.
*Boom!*
An explosive blast tore a massive crater into the ground. The power of this tribulation thunder completely surpassed all previous bolts; clearly, Yeyun's intrusion had doubled its destructive force.
A bolt of lightning struck her directly across the back.
"No! Yutian... Ah..."
Her heart-rending scream shook everyone to their core. Madly, Yeyun lunged forward once more, only to be repelled by the heavenly thunder again and again, struck over and over by the power of the Laws of Heaven and Earth. Her clothes were already in tatters, her hair disheveled, and blood stained the corners of her mouth. Yet she seemed entirely numb to the pain. In her eyes, there was room for only one person—the man bathed entirely in purple light.
Never before had Gong Yutian hated himself so much. Watching the woman stumble, fall, and drag herself up again and again, his heart was bleeding. This was the woman he doted on with all his heart, the woman he feared would suffer even the slightest harm, yet now...
He was the one causing her such agony, driving her to such madness. His Xiao Jiu should be that cold, domineering, and arrogant woman, not someone battered and bruised on his account. "Xiao Jiu, stop rushing in."
"Yutian."
"Xiao Jiu, live well."
With tears brimming in her eyes, Yeyun shook her head frantically. "No, no... I won't let you leave. I refuse to let you leave..."
"Xiao Jiu, do you trust me?"
Through the luminous barrier of the Laws of Heaven and Earth, Gong Yutian smiled faintly and reached out a hand, trying to touch Yeyun. "Your man is the only person in this world abandoned by the heavens. What are the Laws of Heaven and Earth to me? Should I fear mere Jiuyou Hell?"
"I promised to stay with you forever. Being the only villain in this world would be far too lonely—I still need you to accompany me in wreaking havoc across the realm!"
Looking deeply into Gong Yutian's purple eyes, Yeyun choked back a sob through her reddened eyes after a long silence: "I trust you."
Seeing that the energy of the Laws of Heaven and Earth had reached its absolute peak, Yeyun suddenly found strength from an unknown source and lunged at Gong Yutian once more. This time, she successfully grasped his hand and, without the slightest hesitation, pressed her lips against his slightly upturned ones.
She bit down frantically on his lips, tasting the sweet warmth of blood. Pain or no pain—did it matter anymore?
She no longer cared. All she could do was kiss him with reckless abandon. This could truly be called Yeyun's first time taking such an initiative. Gong Yutian's gaze darkened, and he cast all other concerns to the wind.
Reaching out to cup the back of her head, he seized control and turned passivity into dominance. This kiss was no longer merely a kiss; it was an emotional outlet between two souls, a final farewell monument at the very threshold of life and death.
"Gong Yutian, listen to me: what if you descend to hell? In this world, I, Ye Shiqi, dare to pierce even the heavens—what could I possibly fear in hell? As for my man, Ye Shiqi—even if you go to hell, without my permission, you are forbidden to die! If you dare to die, I will shatter this plane of existence, slaughter my way into hell, unearth your grave, dig out your bones, and whip your corpse. If you are gone, I will turn the realm you care about into a living hell. Do you hear me?"
