Jun Chen joked aloud, "I have to say, kid, shouldn't you be going to the Matchmaker for relationship troubles? What earthly good does it do to come running to a temple to ask the Buddha? The Buddha is a bachelor himself; what kind of answers could he possibly give you? You've got to go to the right temple and burn incense in the right place—you can't just pray blindly, it's completely useless."
As soon as Jun Chen said this, all the pilgrims and monks present turned to look at him with unfriendly glares. His words showed disrespect to the Buddha, yet upon deeper reflection, they felt there was nothing wrong with what he had said.
