The seminar went smoothly—or rather, it went all too smoothly.
Whether it was Chu Zhao linking her paintings to the motivations behind them or explaining the new techniques she had experimented with, everything resonated. During the intermission, when she shared her earliest feelings and initial thoughts from when she first picked up a brush—and as she described the journey of finding her own style and artistic goals through constant learning and trial—the students sitting in the audience felt they had gained a great deal.
