Chapter 5

The sudden change left everyone somewhat at a loss.
Shinjo reacted extremely quickly, immediately running toward Guts Wing 2.
"Boom!"
The rocks on the ground instantly shattered.
Two long tentacles burst out from the ground, directly flipping Guts Wing 2 over.
Shinjo hurriedly retreated.
"Garkuma with two horns! The miners were telling the truth after all—there are two Garkumas."
Sawai's expression turned grim.
"Guts Wing 2 can't get through now. Director, we need to get to a safer place quickly," Munakata shouted anxiously.
Suddenly, Shinjo rushed over to Munakata with a panicked look.
"Commander, this is bad! Rena didn't get out of the ship!"
Meanwhile, Daigo had been quite relieved upon hearing earlier that Garkuma had been killed in a single strike by Guts Wing 2.
He figured he wouldn't need to transform this time.
However, once the Sharkie car arrived near the mine, he could clearly see that massive mountain moving around within the mining area.
Instinctively, Daigo reached toward his chest.
Then, thinking of the two people behind him, he hesitated slightly.
Yin Xi noticed Daigo's dilemma and hastily said to Camilla behind him, "Sis, the situation doesn't look good. You're fast, take me in first to see what's going on. Daigo, follow right behind us."
Without waiting for Daigo to reply, the two vanished on the spot.
Daigo no longer hesitated and pulled the Spark Lens from his chest.
Holding it high in the air, the Spark Lens unfolded as dazzling light enveloped Daigo.
Inside the mine, Garkuma kept closing in on everyone's position.
Shinjo wanted to rescue Rena, but countless falling rocks blocked his path.
His heart was filled with frantic anxiety.
Just as Garkuma's massive foot was about to step down on the body of Guts Wing 2, a massive whip of light from out of nowhere lashed fiercely across Garkuma's body.
Garkuma was knocked backward by the strike.
Then, the whip of light shifted direction, directly shattering the glass of Guts Wing 2.
It coiled around Rena, who had already passed out inside, and pulled her out to safety.
Following the source of the light, Shinjo finally spotted the newcomer, and a wave of relief washed over him.
"Officer Camilla, phew—good thing you're here."
Camilla was currently carrying Rena as she walked outward, while Yin Xi shouted at Shinjo, gesturing for him to keep up.
Garkuma quickly scrambled back to its feet, clearly even angrier after being struck.
Yellow light continuously gathered on its twin horns.
Just as the petrification beam was about to be unleashed, a giant figure materialized out of thin air and slammed into Garkuma with a shoulder tackle, knocking it flat onto the ground.
However, due to the sheer force of the impact, Garkuma flipped over and immediately bounced back up.
Tiga did not hesitate, rushing forward once more to mount Garkuma's back, landing a barrage of attacks.
Yet Garkuma's horns flashed rapidly, and Tiga was directly paralyzed by the shock, tumbling off its back.
Garkuma wasn't stupid either; it quickly gathered its petrification beam and fired it straight at Tiga.
Perhaps due to his massive size, stone gradually spread across Tiga's body from his feet all the way to his head.
Seeing this, Camilla immediately lost her composure and pulled out her own Spark Lens.
Just then, a roar rang out from Yin Xi beside her.
"Damn it! You're a mage! Why do you keep trying to go up and melee?!"
The panicked Daigo snapped back to his senses instantly, and in a flash, countless combat techniques flooded his mind.
Crossing his hands in front of his forehead, a red flash swept across.
The stone encasing his body instantly cracked apart, revealing Tiga in Power Type.
This time, Tiga didn't charge in blindly; instead, he placed his hands at his waist, striking the opening stance of the Zeperion Ray.
Yin Xi's eyelid twitched. *(A Power Type Zeperion Ray? Isn't that like using a cannon to swat a fly?)*
To his surprise, Tiga threw a punch forward into thin air toward Garkuma.
A red, spherical energy blast struck Garkuma squarely in the chest, followed immediately by another, sending Garkuma reeling in a daze.
Tiga assumed his posture once more, turning his fists into chops as he dashed toward Garkuma's twin horns and sliced them clean off.
Then, following up with a kick, he launched Garkuma high into the sky.
The Deracium Beam Stream gathered and pierced straight through Garkuma's entire body from bottom to top.
An explosion blazed across the sky, and the shattered chunks of stone rained down, forming a small hill on the ground.
With the battle concluded, Tiga took off directly from the spot, vanishing from everyone's sight.
Watching Tiga's figure soar into the sky, the rest of GUTS remained speechless for a long time.
Meanwhile, Yin Xi cast a subtle glance at Daigo, who had suddenly reappeared among the group.
The heavy doors of the GUTS base slowly opened as Camilla carried the newly conscious Rena into the conference room.
She was followed by Yin Xi and the other team members.
Daigo had initially offered to lend a hand, but Rena rejected him.
Her reasoning was that she wanted to cuddle with the pretty big sister.
Well, Daigo still had a long way to go.
The group had been walking into the conference room in high spirits, but the moment they noticed Iruma Megumi inside, everyone's expressions turned guarded.
Mizuno, who had been sitting by the computers on standby, had passed out right at his station.
Iruma's face was deathly pale.
A white robe from an unknown source draped over her shoulders, and her hair had turned completely white.
Camilla set Rena down, casually shoving her into Daigo's arms before saying coldly, "Yuzare, taking over the body of your junior—what is your game?"
Though everyone could hear Yuzare's voice, they couldn't understand a single word she was saying—everyone except Camilla.
Horie immediately pulled out a language translator.
After a burst of static, Yuzare's ethereal voice echoed from the device:
"You are the representative of darkness... You will... destroy this world... You must... must be sealed away once more... To seal Camilla is to... defeat her."
The rest of the trailing sentence was lost to everyone, except for Camilla, Yin Xi, and Daigo.
*(This old mystic still wants Daigo to beat up my sister? I swear, my temper...)*
Before Yin Xi and Camilla could even get angry, Rena—still supported by Daigo—refused to let it stand.
"How could the things you're saying ever happen? Compared to Sister Camilla, you're the much more suspicious one here, forcefully taking over our captain's body and knocking out Officer Mizuno."
"Besides, Sister Camilla saved me today. How do you expect me to trust you—this so-called Ultra-Ancient Human?"
Hearing Yuzare's words earlier, Camilla hadn't reacted much, her gaze merely remaining cold. But upon hearing Rena's words, a look of delight instantly bloomed across her face.
Noticing everyone's suspicious and guarded gazes directed at her, Yuzare grew angry.
She immediately intended to forcefully take action and cast a sealing barrier.
In the original history, that sealing barrier could hold off Camilla and the other two for a hundred years, though humans remained unaffected by it.
Seeing this, Yin Xi was utterly shocked. He hadn't expected Yuzare to differ so drastically from Iruma.
Not only did she distrust Camilla, but she didn't trust modern humans either.
A pyramid-shaped barrier of light instantly enveloped the entire TPC headquarters.
Alarms began blaring frantically throughout the Far East Base.
Having finished all this, Yuzare acted as though she had completed some glorious mission, her face brimming with pride and arrogance.
Then, Iruma slumped forward and collapsed.
The white hair and white robe vanished in an instant, reverting to her natural black hair and her sharp, standard uniform.
This sudden turn of events left everyone feeling somewhat on edge, especially Camilla.
*(It was this damn woman who bewildered Tiga thirty million years ago.)*
Yet, remembering the trusting gazes everyone had cast her when she turned around just now, along with Rena's words, the corners of Camilla's lips lifted into an involuntary smile.
*(Still, this time... it's actually quite different.)*
With that thought, Camilla stopped brooding and took the initiative to step forward, helping Iruma up.
What she didn't notice was that, for a split second, both Daigo and Yin Xi caught a faint gleam of light flashing across her body.
Yin Xi subconsciously rubbed his eyes and looked again, but the light was already gone.
*(Huh? Was I seeing things?)*
