Lin Ruyan was overcome with shock as she realized what had happened. Recalling the events of the previous night, she instinctively pulled back the quilt to check if she was still dressed. To her surprise, she found herself fully clothed, wearing the same outfit she had been in while confiding in Xiao Chen the night before. It became clear that Xiao Chen had not undressed her at all; instead, he had spent the entire night by her bedside, looking after her while she was drunk. Lin Ruyan felt a surge of astonishment, followed by a strange, complex emotion.
