He was frighteningly thin, his cheeks deeply hollowed, and his skin had a sickly, pale, almost ashen hue under the dim light.
His chin was covered in unkempt stubble, his lips were dry and cracked, and his eye sockets were deeply sunken, as if more than a decade of imprisonment had drained away every ounce of life within him.
