Even in History of Magic, Professor Binns referred to content outside the textbook more frequently. The only thing that remained unchanged was Defense Against the Dark Arts. Quirrell still dryly stuck to the curriculum, monotonously reading from the textbook. His occasional personal insights were so awkward and absurd that they actually made quite a few young wizards' favorable impressions of Quirrell shoot up.
