As the saying goes, the waves of the Yangtze River push the ones ahead, and the former waves end up crashing on the beach.
As it turns out, whether they are former waves or newer ones, all waves are destined to crash on the beach. Right now, because Ye Feng was simply too exceptional a "wave," he had begun to stunt the growth of all the other waves, prompting Dumbledore and Grindelwald to conspire to drag him down onto the beach with them.
Though this had been part of Ye Feng's plan all along, he certainly had no intention of making an obscure exit. So, before Dumbledore could track him down, Ye Feng took a stroll and ended up perched atop the torch of the Statue of Liberty.
