Edward and Tom walked silently through the muddy streets of London. Tom nervously pressed down on his newsboy cap, somewhat astonished that the wide-brimmed hat had not been left behind in the sewer. Meanwhile, Edward tightened his grip on the money pouch slung across his chest, secretly relieved that the gold was still there. "That snake... it said it used to be a human woman, that it was drawn over by my Parseltongue... but how is that possible?" Tom broke the silence first, having finally regained his composure.
