Chapter 2

Before long, Li Hao arrived at the Public Security Department of Handong Province, guided by Qi Tongwei.
Upon entering the building, Qi Tongwei did not hesitate and directly summoned the police officers in charge of the investigation.
"A-Hao, this is the captain in charge of the investigation. Feel free to ask him anything you want to know!" Once everyone had gathered, Qi Tongwei gestured toward a middle-aged man with half-white hair and looked at Li Hao.
This gesture surprised all the police officers present.
Was Director Qi not going to be the one briefed on this operation?
Especially the captain in charge of the investigation, who was equally surprised, though more than anything, he was shocked.
He was, after all, the captain with the strongest individual capability in the entire Public Security Department! Just a few days ago, Director Qi had specifically contacted him, telling him to prioritize this investigation and put everything else aside. That showed just how important the operation was!
He had assumed that Director Qi attached great importance to this operation himself, but it turned out the director was doing it for someone else—acting on someone else's behalf!
"Hello! How should I address you?"
Before the officers could overthink it, Li Hao took the initiative and spoke to the half-haired captain.
"Hello! My surname is Xue, and everyone usually calls me Captain Xue."
Seeing Li Hao address him, the captain quickly reined in his thoughts and replied. He could sense that Director Qi held a certain amount of respect for this young man named Li Hao. Since that was the case, and as someone promoted by Qi Tongwei, he naturally knew how to behave; he would simply answer whatever Li Hao asked.
"Alright, Captain Xue, tell me what you've uncovered so far, down to the smallest detail."
Hearing this, Li Hao did not stand on ceremony and cut straight to the point.
"From the day we began the investigation, we..."
Unfazed by Li Hao's directness, Captain Xue immediately began recounting events from day one. Li Hao did not interrupt, simply listening quietly from the side.
When Captain Xue finished, Li Hao merely nodded and rubbed his chin in thought.
What looked like thinking was actually Li Hao activating the System in his mind.
Yes! He was a time-traveler. One day, upon waking up, he discovered he had come to this comprehensive film and television world. Naturally, he had also smoothly awakened the System.
With such an overpowered background, he dared to roam about freely and court danger—all for the thrill of it!
"System, activate Traceable!"
With a silent thought, Li Hao's mind began analyzing the words Captain Xue had just spoken.
After about five minutes, Li Hao abruptly stood up from his chair and said to Qi Tongwei, "Let's go! To Yantai City right now! These people might have sensed something and could be leaving soon!"
Hearing this, everyone present—especially the police officers involved in the operation—felt a trace of inner resentment. What was that supposed to mean? Their operations over the past few days had been carried out with the utmost meticulousness, hadn't they? If those people had noticed anything, they would have fled long ago! Would they have stayed in Yantai until today?
Not just ordinary officers, but even Captain Xue shared this thought.
"Alright! We're leaving right now!"
Upon hearing this, Qi Tongwei stood up immediately and walked out toward the courtyard.
He trusted Li Hao implicitly! Not for any other reason, but because with his heaven-defying background, instead of lying back and enjoying life, Li Hao repeatedly went abroad on extremely dangerous missions. Most importantly, after all these years, Li Hao had actually emerged completely unscathed! That was not something an ordinary person could achieve.
Li Hao was unquestionably a man with exceptionally strong judgment and analytical skills! Therefore, the moment Li Hao uttered those words, Qi Tongwei believed him without hesitation and took action.
Stepping outside, Li Hao settled into the back seat again. The car started quickly, pulled away from the Public Security Department, and headed toward Yantai.
"A-Hao, is it really that urgent? What on earth is the background of these people you asked me to investigate?"
Hearing the question, Li Hao looked at Qi Tongwei and, instead of answering, asked a question of his own: "Do you know about Satan?"
The question momentarily left Qi Tongwei dazed. Hesitating for a few seconds, he cautiously replied, "The devil in Western stories?"
Li Hao shrugged at the answer.
"You're right about that—he really is a devil. He's the biggest drug lord in Mosaikou, and his code name is Satan!"
"The people I had you investigate are part of Satan's contacts here in Hua Nation, which I uncovered over there."
Hearing this, Qi Tongwei instantly perked up. Naturally, he was terrified!
As the head of the Public Security Department of Handong Province, he had no idea that such a major drug lord was linked to his territory! He knew very well that the drug trade in Mosaikou had reached an astonishing scale. If they successfully broke into the Hua Nation market, the consequences would be simply unimaginable!
By that time, as the head of the Handong Provincial Public Security Department, he could forget about any further promotions; he might even be demoted!
The mere thought of these consequences sent a wave of cold fear through Qi Tongwei. Fortunately, Li Hao had appeared in time to alert him.
"Thank you, A-Hao!" Qi Tongwei thanked Li Hao from the bottom of his heart.
"Small matter! Don't worry, Tongwei. Within a month, they'll vanish from Hua Nation!"
Li Hao remained unperturbed, viewing the whole thing as a minor affair with only a slight hint of difficulty. He would handle it soon enough.
Hearing Li Hao's confident words, Qi Tongwei immediately felt somewhat reassured while growing increasingly in awe of him. In all his years, he had never heard such confident words privately from any anti-narcotics police officer.
For Li Hao to speak with such absolute certainty meant he had clearly experienced many major events abroad! Moreover, based on his long-term observation, Li Hao bore no obvious scars, which in itself was terrifying!
He had once served on the front lines and knew that front-line anti-narcotics officers inevitably carried scars on their bodies. Yet Li Hao, who had spent a long time conducting missions overseas, was completely free of visible injuries. One could only imagine how terrifying Li Hao's capabilities truly were!
Meanwhile, shortly after Li Hao and Qi Tongwei left the Public Security Department, the officers involved in the investigation began to chat among themselves. They all felt that this young man named Li Hao was putting on airs! Just a privileged second-generation heir with no real skills, yet he thought he could order them around?
Yet this thought lasted only a brief moment before an incoming communication instantly altered their perception of Li Hao.
"Captain Xue! The people we're tailing are acting a bit strange!"
"They seem to have sensed something is wrong and suddenly retreated entirely into that hotel! I have a feeling they might be trying to run for it!"
Hearing the news, every single police officer lost all color in their faces.
Captain Xue was the first to snap back to reality, replying into the communicator, "Keep a tight watch on them! Report the moment they make a move!"
