Everyone has inner demons. Mortals are no exception. A mortal standing at the edge of a cliff looks down and feels a sudden urge to jump. Or holding a sharp blade, they feel an impulse to slash at themselves. These are manifestations of inner demons. Through cultivation, practitioners can maintain a clear spiritual platform and suppress their inner demons. However, all things are governed by the interaction of yin and yang; while inner demons can usually be suppressed, any violent turbulence in the state of mind will cause them to breed. Some commit suicide, some kill, others indulge in depravity—manifesting in different ways. Of course, against those with extremely firm wills, or those who practice mind-cultivation techniques, inner demons are ineffective. The wonderful uses of the Yin-Yang Dao fruit go without saying; not only does it assist the Dao of Heavenly Secrets, but it can also harness the powers of Taiyin and Taiyang for combat, producing miraculous effects at critical moments. As for the Slaughter Dao fruit, as one kills more, the resulting power feeds back into the practitioner. The more people killed, the faster the cultivation grows. Phew.
