After returning to the bathroom, Harry and Ron found the diary that Ginny had thrown there. Without thinking, Harry picked it up and was pulled into Tom Riddle's memory. Before he could even process what had happened, he discovered one day that their dormitory had been thoroughly ransacked and the diary was gone.
"Hagrid? First it was Iblis, and now it's Hagrid?" Ron was starting to think Harry was losing his mind.
"But I saw his memory, a memory from fifty years ago. Hagrid was the culprit and got taken away... What on earth is going on? This is getting completely out of hand. We have to go ask Hagrid, right now." With that, Harry started to leave.
