Chapter 109

712 words4 minutes read

After class, Professor Snape saw Rhea waiting for him at the door. He gave her a gentle smile, took her hand, and they returned to the dungeon together. There, they resumed brewing the Youth Rejuvenation Potion. When free, they would take turns monitoring the brewing process to prepare for future improvements. Time slipped away amidst busyness. Rhea's days were packed. She woke up every morning to brew various Potions with Professor Snape. Fortunately, Professor Snape had adopted her suggestion: upper-year students from every House were always drawing misfortune upon themselves and getting punished with dungeon duty to process ingredients. Whenever Rhea heard them whispering and laughing about Professor Snape... she would always feel a twinge of guilt and quietly slip away, hiding her achievements and fame! Next came helping Professor Snape grade essays. Rhea's favorite House was Ravenclaw—it had to be said that even their worst essays met the passing standard! Her most despised was Gryffindor; the ones reaching an "Outstanding" were as rare as phoenix feathers! As for Slytherin, they sat somewhere in the middle, but fueled by Professor Snape's favoritism, Slytherin's work never looked bad in Rhea's eyes! Hufflepuff was a mixed bag as well.
